Pick of the Plots: Thursday 3rd October

The latest goings on in EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.

SoapWeek: EastEnders

Its Bex’s last day in Walford and after discovering that Sonia has arranged a party, Bex reluctantly agrees to go. Stuart wishes Bex good luck but they’re interrupted by Dot making a surprise return with her granddaughter Dotty in tow whom Tiffany is instantly wary of.

Bex pretends to enjoy herself at The Vic but sensing she’s not okay, Lisa urges Bex to tell her mum how she feels. Bex brushes Lisa off before making a speech and sneaking off. At home, all the pressure Bex has felt over the past months comes to a crescendo with Bex planning to take her own life. The next day, Lisa urges Louise to call Bex as a shocked Sonia finds Bex unresponsive in bed.

Meanwhile, the Mitchells get a surprise when the police arrive to arrest Phil for punching Jonno, and when they take Phil’s passport Sharon panics when she realises it will scupper their trip to Portugal.

Elsewhere, Whitney meets Leo and sparks fly but she is clueless as to his true identity. Jean helps Daniel complete his bucket list, but when he meets an old friend to settle old scores, things don’t go according to plan. Linda continues to try and impress the school mums.

EastEnders, Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

Kerry squirms as she meets with a journalist from the Hotten Courier. Tracy finds passports and one-way tickets while searching for her dad’s keyring in Kerry’s bedroom. Tracy demands to know what is going on and is left reeling when Kerry admits that she was responsible for Frank’s death.

Determined to fight for their secret, Amy and Kerry lock Tracy in to stop her from going to the police. Tracy makes a run for it with Kerry in hot pursuit. But Kerry falls hitting her head hard and Tracy is left fearing the worst.

Elsewhere, Moira and Nate are at a hotel together when Nate gets a pointed call from Pete – he knows about the affair. Will Pete tell Cain?

Emmerdale, Thursday at 7pm and 8pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

Breda is refusing to sell the farm, while Sylver, Goldie and Jack are growing ever more concerned about her. She rushes back to the farm to tell Tony that she’s ‘finished’. Goldie discovers Harry’s grave whilst walking Bronzer in the woods. Breda is in shock when Goldie reveals what she’s seen and Jack tells them that James won’t rest until he’s found who killed Harry.

Meanwhile, Marnie and Romeo want James to get back in the dating game, but he thinks it’s too soon after Harry. Their squabbling cheers him up briefly, but then he gets a phone call to identify Harry’s body.

Elsewhere, Cindy and Luke wake up in the Loveboat and look forward to getting things rolling with their plans to buy the florist and Loft yard. With everything seemingly coming together, Cindy tries to kiss Luke to celebrate, however he snubs her advances.

Also, Mercedes is left speechless when she tries to come clean to Sylver and he says they should have a baby.

Hollyoaks, Thursday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.

Daniel has managed to set aside his reservations about Becky, but they resurface when she insists on a new TV. The pair have a big row in front of the entire shop…

Meanwhile, Valerie has arranged a memorial service for her cat. She heads into The Mill and assigns roles to the team. Tasked with reading a poem, Ayesha’s sympathetic stance is wearing thin.

When Valerie states that this memorial is going to be every bit as big as Heston’s, there is a full-on revolt. It falls to Sid to rally the troops and point out that ridiculous as they may think this whole thing is, they should be there for Valerie – their friend.

Doctors, Thursday at 1.45pm on BBC One.
