Pick of the Plots: Tuesday 8th October

The latest goings on in EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.

SoapWeek: EastEnders

Martin pleads with Ben to let Stacey come home but as Ben contemplates the idea, he gets a threatening call from Jags who’s got Lola. Panicked, Ben agrees to wipe the slate clean if Martin helps him resolve the situation with Lola. However, Martin is left fuming when Ben later changes the parameters of their deal, insisting that he gets Kheerat the car he wants.

Meanwhile, Arshad tells Adam about what happened to Mariam leading Honey to suggest they host a dinner for her. As Honey and Habiba prep the meal, Habiba confronts Honey about Adam’s behaviour. Later, during the deal, Mariam apologises to Iqra for being off with her.

Elsewhere, Rainie is gutted when Max cuts short her time with Abi after an incident at the park. Kathy tells Max that Rainie is addicted to painkillers again. Bailey worries her family when she goes off the radar.

EastEnders, Tuesday at 7.30pm on BBC One.

SoapWeek: Emmerdale

An angry Vanessa is arrested after accidentally hitting a nurse whilst arguing with Amy.

Vanessa’s presence at the police station leaves some worried. But will she talk knowing that she could implicate Tracy in being responsible for Kerry’s current condition?

Elsewhere, an amorous Bernice and Liam are mortified when they accidentally sabotage rivals Sam and Lydia’s wedding competition entry.

Emmerdale, Tuesday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.

SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

James confirms that he’d had enough when he took to the top of the archway, so the Nightingales hold an intervention to try and snap him out of it. It seems to work, but Romeo later finds James with an escort. Father and son hurl insults at each other about Lily and Harry and James ends up punching his son.

Meanwhile, Brooke and Ollie are summoned to the Osbornes where Mandy, Nancy, Darren and Luke want to talk to them seriously about the baby. They discuss options such as adoption. Ollie decides he’s ready to be a dad, but it’s too much for Brooke. Tom opens up to Brooke about his own experiences and this seems to change her mind, but is it all an act?

Elsewhere, Walter overhears Mitchell and Cleo talking about moving in together and expresses his disapproval. Cleo helps Maxine find a job.

Hollyoaks, Tuesday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.

An excited Imogen arrives back in Letherbridge and dives straight into her Art Fest role. In Becky’s office, Imogen outlines her workplace art project, something she’s already set up at a sheltered housing complex, an animal charity, and an accountancy firm. It’s a chance for employees to talk about Art and what it means to them and the groups already on the scheme are going to have a mini exhibition of the work.

She further explains that Karen has volunteered the Mill. They just need a camera which an old bat can operate and some instructions and guidance. The rest is up to the individuals. Becky is in a good mood and welcomes this as a distraction.

Meanwhile, when Imogen encounters Sid, there’s a frisson of something there but they both play it cool.

Doctors, Tuesday at 1.45pm on BBC One.
