Pick of the Plots: Friday 25th October

The latest goings on in Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.

SoapWeek: Corrie

Sinead urges Daniel to stop punishing himself and he’s moved to know that she’s forgiven him. She asks him for some flowers with a lovely scent so she can imagine she’s outside. As the day goes on, Sinead makes plans with Billy for her funeral. Dr Gaddas drops by and asserts that it’s too late to move her to the hospice in a fragile state. Daniel reels and Sinead realises it’s time to start saying her goodbyes. Beth confides in Tracy how she can’t help but feel angry with Daniel.

Later, Sinead passes away peacefully with Daniel and Bertie on the bed with her. Daniel lies down next to her and cries silent tears as he holds her knowing he and Bertie will have to get used to life without her. Meanwhile, the Tinkers and Barlows gather in the Rovers and wait nervously for news of Sinead. As the Tinkers and Barlows share fond and amusing stories of Sinead, Beth takes a call from Daniel to inform them that she has died.

Elsewhere, Gail returns from Thailand to find Tracy and Sally laying into Bethany.  Gail steers Bethany back to No.8 and parking herself on the carpet, assures her that yoga is the way forward and she needs to find herself again.  Bethany’s bemused.

SoapWeek: EastEnders

Ben goes to extreme lengths to prove he’s not be messed with, leaving Martin in terrible danger.

Despite Callum warning him to back off, Leo isn’t perturbed at all and continues to charm Whitney.

Elsewhere, Arshad sees red when Adam buys him and Mariam tickets to India; Karen enlists Chantelle and Bernadette’s help in a gesture for Bailey; Stuart starts work at Walford East but Ian seizes the opportunity to embarrass him.

EastEnders, Friday at 8.30pm on BBC One.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

Vinny is worried it’s a bad time to leave Emmerdale, but Mandy is dead-set on them running away.

Mandy insists her plan will keep everyone safe, but as they talk, a stranger is watching them from afar.

Meanwhile, Faith refuses to help.

Emmerdale, Friday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

Breda lies that Harry was trying to steal off her so he could go on the run and he suddenly turned on her. Goldie wonders whether the dementia made Breda turn aggressive and her mum goes along with it. They have a heart to heart about the past and Goldie agrees to draw a line under everything.

Meanwhile, Luke is drunk on The Loveboat and when Brody finds him, Luke accuses him of stealing his grandson. Cindy tracks Luke down at The Folly and tries to sober him up. She puts him in the shower but he collapses on the floor saying that he’s worthless. Cindy is supportive but Luke decides to leave when Ollie is angered by him drinking again.

Elsewhere, Tom finds out that Cindy has already paid Woody £30,000. Charlie tells Tom what he heard and he realises that Cindy has bribed Woody. Tom tries to fire Woody but Woody isn’t going anywhere and threatens Tom with a tribunal.

Hollyoaks, Friday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.

Following Izzie’s visit Becky is feeling insecure about her relationship with Daniel. She wants to know what Izzie made of their relationship and wonders whether he is still in love with Zara. Daniel reassures Becky, who decides to cook for them later. Later on, Daniel gets more than he bargained for when he opens a present from Becky…

Meanwhile, Jimmi informs Al the bank has approved their loan and business plan. However, Al’s confidence in their idea is rocked after a phone call to his mother.

At the microbrewery pub Al admits to Jimmi he’s having doubts. Jimmi suggests a gamble. Heads they take on the Icon. Tails they walk away.
