Pick of the Plots: Monday 28th October

The latest goings on in Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.

SoapWeek: Corrie

Chesney tells Gemma that Sinead’s death has made him realise they should try and make a go of things properly. Chesney arranges for Fiz to babysit so he can take Gemma to Speed Daal but she gets more twinges and ends up in A&E again meaning the date is off. Later, Chesney tells Fiz he is going to propose tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Daniel is struggling with all the funeral plans and asks everyone to leave. Later in the corner shop he defends Bethany who is being baited by Evelyn. Beth is furious when she hears about this and when she finds Bethany comforting Daniel in Victoria Garden, she accuses them of having an affair before Sinead is even cold.

Later, Daniel calls at No.1 and announces that he’s taking Bertie on holiday to Scotland as it’ll do them good to get away. As Daniel and Bertie set off for Scotland, Beth watches, distraught that he’s taking her Godson away and fearing he may never come back.

Elsewhere, David maintains his innocence as Gail resolves to get her family back on track; Liz asks Tracy to join her on a break in Spain but Steve thinks that it’s a crazy idea.

Coronation Street, Monday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: EastEnders

Sharon returns alone from Portugal and acts surprised when Louise reveals that her and Keanu are moving there. Once alone, Keanu pleads with Sharon to stop Louise but he gets a warning to play along with Mel. At the same time, Mel invites Ruby to the E20 and makes a surprising offer – first refusal to buy the club.

Meanwhile, Mariam confronts Adam about Habiba leading to an emotional heart to heart. Later, Mariam admits to Habiba that she blames herself for Adam’s actions, leaving Habiba annoyed.

Elsewhere, Ian confronts Iqra and Keegan after learning they used his kitchen for their business. Lisa grows tired of Mel’s interfering with Louise’s future.

EastEnders, Monday at 8pm on BBC One.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

Desperate for cash, Mandy and Vinny try to hack Lydia’s bank account. When Lydia catches them in the act, Mandy tries to explain herself.

An angry Sam soon calls for a Dingle court, but Mandy and Vinny decide to make a run for it. Having broken down in the Dingles’ van, which they’ve stolen, they are forced to hide out in the woods.

Elsewhere, Amy is shocked by a betrayal.

Emmerdale, Monday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

The village is disturbed by the arrival of the diggers and cranes, but the fragile tunnels underneath the village are already feeling the strain. Tom stages a protest, still concerned about the lack of health and safety regulations. Later, a tonne of sand nearly lands on Cindy and Tom, is this a sign of things to come?

Meanwhile, it’s the day of DJ’s Christening and Ollie is trying to find Luke after revealing he is DJ’s biological father. Ollie meets Darren and is touched by Darren’s emotional words about DJ, but pales when Darren reveals that he’s invited Luke to the Christening.

Later, Luke shows up but tells Ollie that he’s not going to say anything but seeing Darren and DJ together is clearly getting to him. Later, Luke talks to DJ about giving him up to a proper home with Mandy and Darren, unaware that Darren is listening.

Elsewhere, Breda decides it’s time to put Tony out of his misery. However, after a call from Goldie, she decides to let him go home. Cleo feels insecure when Mitchell recoils from a kiss – it takes all of her strength not to binge.

Hollyoaks, Monday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.

Zara is chuffed when Adam invites her for a romantic weekend in Milan. Later, over dinner, Adam tells Zara that he’s got a secret…

Meanwhile, struggling with Becky’s bombshell from the night before, Daniel resolves to tell Zara. Before he can reveal the news, Zara asks him if he can take Joe for the weekend. Daniel agrees and after prodding from Zara he reveals what’s on his mind.

Elsewhere, Karen is horrified when Rob lets slip that he’s going on a Taser course.
