ITV confirm Mickey Rourke CBB departure

Unexpected departure in the celebrity housing area…

Well, it isn’t unexpected for anyone who has been turning into ITV1 and STV, as several moments have left viewers in a number of emotions from miffed to full-on annoyed.

“I have no expectations. I’ve never seen it. I’m just going to go in, do my thing, and we’ll see.”Mickey Rourke, prior to entering CBB

It started badly when he pulled in CBB host AJ Odudu for a closer look, liking what he saw like it was a Benny Hill sketch from the 1970s. And he certainly ‘did his thing’ as it went downhill from then onwards. During Wednesday’s episode of Celebrity Big Brother, viewers saw Mickey receive a warning from Big Brother for unacceptable language and behaviour towards a fellow housemate.

Speaking before entering the house he observed, “I do not like people who are disrespectful. Respect is earned. I will earn it. If they don’t, they will know about it… Just be respectful and that’s it. I’ll just do me. I don’t care about winning. It doesn’t mean anything to me. I want someone to win who really cares about winning and who earns it.”

“…I love British people and British culture so I’ll enjoy talking to them [the Housemates] but I have no expectations of them. We’ll just see.”

Chris Hughes, last to encounter an issue with Rourke

ITV have said in a press release this evening, April 12th, that there have ‘been further instances where Mickey has used inappropriate language.’ The broadcaster add that ‘today, Mickey’s behaviour and language to Chris during a disagreement in a task was considered to be threatening and aggressive, but no physical altercation took place.’ It seems this final disagreement between Mickey Rourke and Chris Hughes has seen the American actor kiss his stint in the show, which he admitted he’d never watched, goodbye.

A spokesperson for Celebrity Big Brother:

“Mickey Rourke has agreed to leave the Celebrity Big Brother House this evening following a discussion with Big Brother regarding further use of inappropriate language and instances of unacceptable behaviour.”

Last night former MP Michael Fabricant was evited from the Celebrity Big Brother house, which proves politicians are even more unpopular than a repeat CBB rule offender. Fabricant spoke to CBB hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best, noting after leaving the house; ‘I’m very sad to be leaving all my friends,’ … ‘I’m sad because… we’ve all become such close friends! I love everyone there! We really bonded, they were great people, they were kind.’
