2025 Television Drama, Factual Film & Product Awards…
The Association of Motion Picture Sound (AMPS) has this week announced the winners of its 2025 Television Drama, Factual Film & Product Awards, revealed during a special presentation on Sunday 13 April at Greenwich University hosted by AMPS Chair George Foulgham and Vice Chair Kate Davis.
This years winners embody the creativity, precision, and passion that lie at the heart of great sound. From powerful drama and immersive factual storytelling to groundbreaking technologies, each award reflects the craft and commitment of those working behind the scenes. Its a privilege to celebrate such inspiring work, and to see the AMPS community continue to champion excellence across every corner of our industry. – Kate Davis, AMPS Vice-Chair.
Attended by AMPS members, nominees, and invited industry guests, the event celebrated outstanding work in film and television sound and audio innovation.
The AMPS Awards are prestigious honours that recognise the very best in film and television sound craft and technologies, for the industry, by the industry. Voted on by working sound professionals, the awards spotlight creative and technical excellence across multiple disciplines.
In recognition of the collaborative nature of sound, AMPS also awards Certificates of Merit to each of the creative team members who contribute to the winning soundtracks, a unique practice that honours the full spectrum of talent behind every award-winning mix.

The Television Drama and Factual Film category winners have also been nominated for the 2025 BAFTA Television Craft Awards, reflecting the alignment between AMPS members peer recognition and wider industry acclaim.
This event follows the earlier presentation of the AMPS Feature Film Award, which went to the sound team behind Dune: Part Two. That same team went on to win both the BAFTA and Academy Award for Best Sound, reinforcing AMPS position as a respected voice within the global sound community.
AMPS recently welcomed new leadership through its annual Council elections as part of its continued development. George Foulgham steps into the role of Chair, joined by Kate Davis, returning as Vice Chair, and Louise Burton, newly elected as Honorary Secretary.
The AMPS Council is made up of active professional volunteers from across the sound disciplines, elected by their peers to help shape the organisations future. Supported by the AMPS Administrator and selected co-opted councillors, the Council is responsible for upholding the Associations aims and objectives, ensuring AMPS remains member-led, forward-thinking, and connected to the evolving needs of the creative industry.
This volunteer-led structure is central to AMPS identity as a community built by and for sound professionals, championing collaboration, representation, and shared expertise at every level.

Andrew Wilson, who served as Chair of AMPS from 2020 to 2025 and has been a dedicated member of Council for over a decade, was presented with an AMPS Fellowship in recognition of his outstanding leadership and long-standing contribution to the sound community. During his time as Chair, he guided the Association through the Covid pandemic and helped strengthen ties with sound organisations across the global industry. He continues to serve on the Council, contributing his insight and experience to AMPS ongoing evolution.
Its been an incredible honour to serve as Chair of AMPS during a time of real change for our industry. Im deeply proud of what weve achieved together from strengthening our community to raising the profile of sound across the screen industries.
