Charlotte Hawkins blushes at cheeky Celebrity Bridge of Lies category

“Horny animals”

Good Morning Britain presenter Charlotte Hawkins will be seen blushing on tomorrow’s edition of hit quiz show, Celebrity Bridge of Lies (5:40pm, Saturday 3 May, BBC One and iPlayer), when host Ross Kemp challenges her with a rather cheeky category.

The breakfast telly star is set to compete in the first episode of Celebrity Bridge of Lies’ third series as part of a team of popular TV presenters which also includes Matt Allwright, Kaye Adams and Ade Adepitan.

When it comes to Charlotte’s turn to cross the bridge and carefully step on the truths and avoid the lies, Ross presents her with “horny animals” as a category, prompting Charlotte to laugh nervously.

However, he quickly clears up any dubiety over the potentially risqué category by confirming that Charlotte will simply need to step on tiles that feature animals with horns, antlers or tusks. Earlier in the episode, Ross asks Charlotte about her secret to staying “fresh and full of life at that time in the morning” when presenting Good Morning Britain.

Charlotte responds: “The big secret is a good hair and make-up department – well, obviously it’s less important for you [Ross] on the hair department – but they wave their magic wands and it’s all sorted out for us.”

Back for a third series, Celebrity Bridge of Lies has been extended to 10 new episodes in its Saturday night slot, after the last series reached a peak of 2.3m viewers in Spring 2024. Along with Charlotte’s horny animals, this Saturday’s episode sees Matt challenged to find songs with repeated words in their titles, Kaye looking for landmarks found in Italy, and Ade tasked with finding pairs of sportspeople known for the same sports.

Sounds straightforward enough – but will any of them flounder under the studio lights and Ross’ watchful eye?

Celebrity Bridge of Lies airs on BBC One and iPlayer at 5:40pm on Saturday 3 May.
