A window was shattered in tonight’s episode…
In tonight’s episode of Emmerdale on ITV1 and STV a glamorous surprise birthday bash was held at Home Farm for Lydia however the lady of the evening didn’t show up, leaving Sam to have the last dance with Kim.
The real story of the night was that it provided an opportunity for one of Joe Tate’s enemies to get even with him.
Joe, played by Ned Porteous, has wasted no time in ruffling feathers since he returned to the village, fuelling dangerous rivalries which have been simmering for weeks. He’s been brazenly conducting a passionate affair with Dawn, played by Olivia Bromley, betraying her husband Billy (Jay Kontzle). Billy has uncovered the truth about Dawn’s deception and is positioning Joe firmly in his crosshairs.
Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) harbours intense hatred toward Joe after discovering he drugged her son Noah, causing the catastrophic limousine crash that claimed three innocent lives, so she was armed with her own revenge plan as she turned up at the party. Noah was blindsided after she outlined her revenge plot and the dark motivation for it.

The suspects, who pushed Joe out the window, or did he run through it to escape a fate worse than EastEnders? / ITV
Meanwhile, Caleb Milligan (William Ash) continues to recover from the physical and emotional trauma of Joe’s most shocking crime yet – stealing his kidney. Only the dark secrets surrounding Anthony’s mysterious death have prevented Caleb from seeking immediate vengeance. And soon with the kidney stealing exposed, his family members are also gunning for Joe to protect their murderous secret.
Adding fuel to the fire, when Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) learned Joe is culpable for her daughter Amy’s death she was also hell bent on revenge. These simmering tensions reached a dangerous boiling point.
As Emmerdale drew to a close Joe was seen to have been seemingly pushed out of an upstairs window and lay undiscovered on the drive way of Home Farm. But with so much hate for Joe, viewers will now wonder which one of his many enemies pushed him and will the troubled Tate survive?
Emmerdale continues Friday at 7.30pm on ITV1 and STV or from 7.00am on ITVX and STV Player.
