The list of exits from Hollyoaks within the next few months has just got slightly longer as actress Hollie-Jay Bowes, who plays Michaela McQueen, confirms her departure from the Channel Four soap.
They’ll be yet another departure in Hollyoaks in the near future as another actress has confirmed her departure from the struggling soap. Actress Hollie-Jay Bowes has confirmed that she will be leaving the Channel Four soap within the next six months. Bowes plays Michaela McQueen in the Liverpool based soap and has been with the series since 2006 – also having appeared in the late-night spin-off series, Hollyoaks Later. The actress announced her departure from Hollyoaks via Twitter where she also seemed to confirm tabloid stories that an alien will feature in the soap.
The actress is the latest to bow out of the soap since the arrival of new producer Paul Marquess. To be honest there are far too many axing and departures to list them all but yesterday it was revealed that actors Kevin Sacre, Melissa Walton and Gerard McCarthy had filmed their last scenes at the Hollyoaks studios. To replace the many departing characters several high-profile additions to the cast have been announced such as former Emmerdale actress Sheree Murphy and The Bill actress Kim Tidy.
