Ratings for the American daytime soaps for the first week of All My Children being off-air and fellow ABC serial One Life to Live is once again the network’s top rated soap. Meanwhile NBC’s Days of our Lives saw big ratings rise on the previous week’s figures.
Unsurprisingly the two CBS soaps are top of the ratings chart as they so often are. The Young and the Restless had an average of 4.2 million viewers across the week but that’s down a hefty 600k viewers on last year. The Bold and the Beautiful had 2.8 million viewers which down roughly 350k on last year.
One Life to Live remains ABC’s top-rated soap – the soap has consistently been performing well for months now and has been the network’s top rated soap for some time. However, it still remains cancelled and will come off air in January despite its strong ratings. Last week One Life to Live had an average of 2.7 million viewers and was up roughly 415k on last year – a pretty impressive rise. General Hospital, ABC’s only non-cancelled (for now) soap had just under 2.6 million viewers while NBC’s Days of our Lives wasn’t far behind with 2.5 million viewers and was up an impressive 260k on last week.
