ABC medical soap General Hospital has announced it is recasting the role of Michael Corinthos as they plan to feature him in more dramatic storylines in the lead up to the May Sweeps. The recast means that actor Drew Garrett, who only joined the soap last April, will be replaced by Chad Duell.
Producers on ABC’s medical soap General Hospital have announced they are once again recasting the role of Michael Corinthos. Producers are recasting the role again because they plan to feature the character in more dramatic storylines in time for the May Sweeps. Actor Drew Garrett is the current actor in the role joining General Hospital in April 2009 as Michael – replacing previous actor Dylan Cash. Cash had played the role of Michael in the soap for over six years but was dumped by ABC when they opted to “age” the character for storylines.
Now it’s Drew Garrett who is out of the soap as Michael. Replacing Garrett on General Hospital will be Chad Duell who has already started filming on the ABC soap and will make his first appearance in the role in April – a year after Drew Garrett took on the role.
