Busy year ahead for X Factor’s Christopher Maloney

Busy year ahead for X Factor’s Christopher Maloney

The X Factor talent contest always provides much debate and discussion every year with regions having their favourites and 2012 was no exception. Christopher Maloney proved to be the choice of the North West to win and despite not managing the top spot – that taken by the North East’s James Arthur – Christopher is still in demand, and will be seemingly for the foreseeable future.

Of course winning The X Factor isn’t important in the music industry, many acts who simply appear on the show have also proved to do well for themselves and Maloney’s fans will be hoping for a long and successful music career for their star.

Since the big weekend of X Factor finals in December last year – where Christopher came a respectable third – he’s been busy with media interviews and appearances. He did manage however to spend time with friends and family over the festive period which also gave Christopher time to recover from being under the weather before setting off on his 2013 secdule which comes with all the fame the X Factor brings to its stars.

While some singers indulge in self obsessed media promotion only Christopher hasn’t. Instead he’s managed to mix his new-found fame with ‘doing good’ making appearances at Clatterbridge Cancer care in Wirral and also the royal Liverpool Hospital at Urban Calm mingling with patients and rasing awareness for the services provided. He’s also been catching up with a few famous faces, including Brookside stars Ricky Tomlinson and Dean Sullivan (pictured below)

There has also been plenty of fun too, such as being invited to see his ITV music mentor Gary Barlow perform at his solo concert at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall. (pictured top)

With any talent series there is also lots of gossip, innuendo and speculation. Christopher has, it has to be said, been at the end of some controversial comments and reports during his time on the hit ITV series, but it hasn’t harmed his live performances – despite what the tabloids may say.

Maloney enjoyed his first solo gig at nightclub ‘Heaven G.A.Y’ in London which proved popular with many fans and I thought was an amazing gig.

As usual there were unflattering reports suggesting that the audience at the venue were booing him and finding his show unimpressive. However I can confirm that that is so untrue. Christopher said it was the ‘best crowd ever’ and it was amazing night with 1700 fans turning up to hear hin sing.

While his management are currently negotiating through quite a few record deals, Christopher has been rehearsing in London for the upcoming X Factor Tour.

He tweeted: ‘all rehearsals done for the day, really productive. its going to be a brilliant show. get you x factor tour tickets now! enjoy ur evening xx’

Christopher has also launched his Official website which, although in early days, is proving to be another hit with the Maloney Massive. You can visit it here www.ChristopherMaloneyMusic.com and why not sign up to the newsletter to get the real information rather than what The Sun make up?

Chris’ cousin Lee told ATV Today, “I am so proud of Christopher, he has done Liverpool very proud.

“He has done me proud and all the Family. He has especially done his Grandad very, very, proud who is watching over him with a massive smile! “Its Chris’s time to get the chance to tell his side of the story, and his say about the way the press have pictured him to the public. All the lies are simply just LIES. Dont believe anything you read. That’s just to sell papers. People will find this out over time how down to earth and lovely he actually is.”

“I have said this before and I’ll say it again as a cousin & Fan of Christopher, 2013 is Christopher’s year……”
