Two more actors could be returning to axed CBS daytime soap As The World Turns ahead of its finale later this year. According to reports Jennifer Landon and Jesse Soffer have been asked to reprise their roles of Gwen Norbeck and Will Munson on the soap.
It looks like As The World Turns is determined to go out with a bang later this year as the countdown to the CBS soaps finale begins. The low rated soap, the longest soap currently on air in
America following the demise of Guiding Light, was cancelled by CBS last year because of low ratings. It’ll end its fifty year plus stint on air later in the year and looks set to go out in style. A few weeks ago it was announced that producers on the soap had approached actress Julianne Moore, most recently seen alongside Colin Firth in film A Single Man, to reprise her dual roles on As The World Turns in a cameo appearance.
Now rumours in America state that actors Jennifer Landon and Jesse Soffer have been asked to return to reprise their roles of “super-couple” Gwen Norbeck and Will Munson. The two were written out of As The World Turns in 2008 so they could both pursue other projects. The news has yet to be officially confirmed, or denied, but that hasn’t stopped the rumours spreading. Jesse Soffer appeared in the soap as Will between 2004 and 2008, becoming the fourth actor in the role. Actress Jennifer Landon first appeared in March 2005 in a role that was originally intended for a single episode only. However, the actress impressed producers so much she returned in May 2005.
