Shed/BBCBBC drama series Waterloo Road has been commissioned for a sixth year before the fifth season of the school-based programme has even aired. Filming on the sixth season of Waterloo Road will start as soon as production on its fifth season has completed.

It’s been announced that Waterloo Road, the BBC school based-drama, will have a sixth season. The Shed/BBCBBC has commissioned a further twenty part series of the popular drama before its fifth year has even aired! Production on year six of the Shed Media produced drama will start as soon as filming on its fifth season finishes. Filming on the fifth season has already begun in Manchester where the show in based with new cast members Jenna Louise Coleman and Tom Chambers taking their parts in the cast.Filming for year six will begin in January shortly after season five filming has finished. As yet it’s not been announced who will be returning for the sixth season probably due to the spoilerish nature of such details. Season Five of Waterloo Road, also twenty episodes long, is expected to air on BBC One later in the Autumn.
