Morphsuits, the full body Lycra costume company, have launched a new range of official Power Rangers suits to mark the 20th anniversary of the popular children’s TV show, and in just two weeks they have become the best selling item in the company’s history.
Gregor Lawson, cofounder of Morphsuits comments, “There’s a whole generation that grew up wanting to be a Power Ranger, so we’re extremely excited that we’re the ones to make that a reality. They’re the best selling suit we’ve ever had and let’s face it, they are pretty heroic.”
“The response has been massive. Looks like you’re never too old to take on Rita Repulsa!” he added.
Established in 2009, Morphsuits has become a multi-million pound business, selling a vast range of full-body Lycra costumes and various accessories to partygoers worldwide. Halloween accounts for up to 60 per cent of Morphsuits’ sales and the Power Ranger suits are the latest addition to the range, which they expect to be incredibly popular amongst people dressing up this Halloween.
The suits come in the classic colours seen in the 90’s television programme; black, blue, pink, yellow and red, with sizes to suit people under 4’8” up to 6’3” plus.
The Power Ranger suits were suggested by a number of Morphsuits’ fans on Facebook, where the brand has amassed over 1.1million ‘likes’ in two years. This is the first officially licensed costume for Morphsuits, and they hope that the sales figures will lead to more of their kind.
Marketing Director Mishal Verjee adds, “We’ve been looking at licensed costumes since the business began, and we were delighted when we were granted the license for Power Rangers. Never has Mighty Morphing Power Rangers made more sense! We’re hoping that this will encourage other licensors to get involved.”
The Power Ranger suits are available now at www.morphsuits.com and retail at £39.95.
