Pick of the Plots: Tuesday July 11th

SoapWorld takes a look at the latest goings on in River City, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors this Tuesday.

Lydia’s concern for Charlotte’s welfare increases when she sees the lengths that Amber will go to for her father’s business, but will Lydia risk incurring the wrath of Lenny? Parenthood is also on Kim’s mind as she tries to make amends with Bob, while Liz faces a moral dilemma over the charity shop’s future.

River City, Tuesday at 8pm on BBC One Scotland.

Lauren is keen to extricate herself from what she sees as an unfulfilling relationship with Steven and confides in Max. Meanwhile, after being rejected by Steven, Abi catches wind of Lauren’s intentions and makes a suggestion. Later, Lauren tells Max she’s planning to go to New Zealand with Louie.

Elsewhere, Travis apologises to Louise for not giving her the benefit of the doubt; Alexandra overhears Bex talking about her and swears revenge; there’s high drama at the Vic as Mick struggles to choose between hiring Patrick or Ted as the new pot washer with Fi and Shirley at odds over the candidates; and Denise tries and fails to tell Carmel that she’s not invited to the group holiday.

EastEnders, Tuesday at 7.30pm on BBC One. Repeated at 10pm on UKTV channel ‘W’.

Robert and Aaron are at loggerheads over the emphasis Robert places on money. To prove he doesn’t give a shit, Robert throws a briefcase brimming with notes onto a fire. Aaron’s taken aback and helps him retrieve it, leading to the two of them making up. However, as they head to the bank to return the money they encounter damsel in distress Rebecca with her conked out motor. Aaron convinces Robert to give Rebecca a lift to her scan.

Later, Aaron has a scary encounter when bully boy Jason arrives after he makes a call to procure some spice. Meanwhile, at the hospital, Rebecca learns the baby is a boy. When Robert arrives home, Aaron hides the drugs, and decides to discard of them without using, before proceeding to take a knife to his skin.

Elsewhere, Debbie worries Harriet will report Cain when she sees the police arrive at hers; Laurel’s suspicious of Emma.

Emmerdale, Tuesday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.

Darren and Nancy go to visit Kyle but Nancy is worried by Kyle’s black eye. As she leaves to talk to someone about his safety, Kyle gives Darren an ultimatum.

Maxine returns to hospital to be there for Toby and Adam but Darcy isn’t happy. Later, Darcy breaks down to Maxine about motherhood and they seem to reach an understanding but things turn complicated quickly for Darcy when Marcus (Toby’s ‘real’ dad) arrives.

Elsewhere, Tom and Alfie set up their stargazing club at The Loft and misconstrue something they overhear Grace say; Leela and Tegan convince Courtney not to go to Scotland.

Hollyoaks, Tuesday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.
