Pick of the Plots: Monday December 11th

SoapWorld takes a look at the latest goings on in Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.

SoapWeek: Corrie

Robert tries to justify his actions to Michelle, saying that he was scared about the operation and he wouldn’t blame her if she left him. She promises that they are in this together. When nobody is looking, Michelle breaks the card machine at the Bistro, enforcing everyone to pay by cash.

Later, Rana and Kate’s secret rendezvous is interrupted by a dark figure emptying the full till. Kate smashes the intruder over the head with a bottle and the girls escape. Zeedan is touched when Rana gives him a watertight alibi but how will Robert react to the news that the Bistro has been robbed?

Elsewhere, Tyrone suspects that Fiz is favouring her biological daughter over Ruby.

Coronation Street, Monday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV, UTV and STV.


SoapWeek: EastEnders

Jack arranges for Oscar to come and see Max, as a way of trying to snap Max out of his despondence. Abi agrees to help Max prepare for Oscar’s arrival after he does some grovelling. However, catching wind of what’s going on, Denise throws a spanner in the works…

Linda and Mick head off to an interview to run a pub and after an awkward start, they are delighted when they get offered the job. However, when they learn the job is not where they thought, Mick and Linda are left torn on what to do. Meanwhile, Aidan arrives continues to tempt Mick into getting rid of his money worries.

Elsewhere, Ian secretly arranges to meet Willmott-Brown; Bernadette’s paper round gets off to a disastrous start.

EastEnders, Monday at 8pm on BBC One. Repeated at 10pm on UKTV channel ‘W’.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

Moira and Cain take Isaac to the clinic for a check-up but Moira’s wracked with guilt when the doctor reveals the baby might have a heart problem. Back in the village, Cain assures Moira it will all be fine and pulls her in for a hug, as a concerned Harriet watches the tender moment.

Ross and Pete reluctantly agree to let Harriet get on with Emma’s funeral. Meanwhile, Vitoria’s thrown when Adam attempts to patch things up with Ross and Pete but what is Adam up to? Adam later assures Victoria he’s got rid of Emma’s suicide letter.

Elsewhere, Lisa and Belle worry about Zak’s health.

Emmerdale, Monday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

Luke is becoming a nuisance at the Osborne’s. Mandy agrees to give Ella a present from Luke and he is given a new lease of life to get back on track, until he gets a message from Mark Gibbs on Nancy’s social media page.

Sienna doesn’t want Joel anywhere near her or Sebastian and panics when she wakes from a nap and Sebastian is gone. Later, Sienna is shocked to find baby Sophie on her doorstep.

Hollyoaks, Monday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.

It is the day Zara’s due to testify and graffiti spelling “RIP” is found at the Mill. Jimmi and the police go through the CCTV but the culprit has hidden his face under a hood. Soon after, a hooded Kyle approaches the Mill and makes an appointment with a doctor, he has a knife. In the consultation Al realises something is remiss with Kyle who takes a photo of Al and then leaves.

Waiting to be called into court Zara receives a text from an unknown number, it is the photo of Al. Tom sees it and sends a response team to the Mill. He tells Zara to put it out of her mind as he steers her towards the court. Will Zara still testify?

Doctors, Monday at 1.45pm on BBC One.
