Pick of the Plots: Thursday March 29th

We take a look at the latest goings on in EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors and Coronation Street.

SoapWeek: EastEnders

Stacey feels the wrath of her neighbours who are still furious about what’s happened. She asks them to all come to the pub that evening for a full explanation.

Meanwhile, Bernie’s nerves get the better of her ahead of the chess competition and Karen is concerned that Ted is setting her up for a fall. To help Bernie’s nerves, Ted arranges to meet her at the competition but Joyce insists he stays at home to speak to their son. However, Joyce eventually relents.

Elsewhere, Keanu confides to Jay how difficult it is to have a relationship with Ingrid while living at home. Jay suggests moving into Ben’s old room but Keanu’s torn.

SoapWeek: Emmerdale

Pete and Rhona are panicked to realise Ross is missing. Pete finds pills and an empty whisky bottle in his car and spots his brother in a deteriorative state nearby. Ross’ life hangs in the balance. 

Elsewhere, Vanessa’s tense as she greets the RCVS inspector; Jimmy’s troubled by what Joe tells him.

SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

Firefighters tackle the blaze at The McQueen’s.

Jesse is left heartbroken when Goldie and Courtney discover his two-timing ways and both dump him. Meanwhile, Shane gets out of prison thanks to Simone but current events lead Prince and Hunter to turn away from their dad. Adam threatens Shane to admit to murder or he will lose his children.

Elsewhere, Ryan is panicking about the decision to wake up Tegan from her coma.

Hollyoaks, Thursday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.

Daniel is determined to get to the truth about Lou but ends up making things worse when he gets Joni alone.

Rob and Jimmi wonder if truth is stranger than fiction when a body is found in an orchard. Meanwhile, something doesn’t quite ring true for Ruhma.

Doctors, Thursday at 1.45pm on BBC One.

Eileen and Phelan arrive at the cottage and he tells her he has hired a boat and suggests they can look at cottages over in Ireland too. Gary and Seb’s hunt for the gun is curtailed when the police arrive and arrest them.

As they insist they were looking for a murder weapon, the police are more interested in the two bodies that were beneath the concrete. Gary is arrested on suspicion of murder.

Elsewhere, there’s tension between Fiz and Tyrone at the Rovers; expectant mum Eva is anxious; Jenny asks Liz for help.
