Pick of the Plots: Wednesday August 8th

The latest goings on in Coronation Street, Emmerdale, and Hollyoaks.

Abi struggles to connect with the twins during their home visit. Steve arrives too late with a parcel he was collecting for her from the post office (a present for the twins) to find Abi in tears as her children would rather be with their foster parents. Later, Steve finds a drunk Abi at the tram station and challenges her about a bag of cocaine in her possession. After telling her about Ruairi he urges her to pull herself together and rebuild her relationship with the children. Grateful, Abi kisses him on the lips.

Meanwhile, Rana’s sad as she watches Imran, suited and booted, leave for their Dad’s party. Soon, Rana hears some bad news from the party – her dad has collapsed. At the hospital, Imran breaks the news to Rana that Hassan has had a stroke, but Saira bans her from visiting him and Rana’s devastated. Rana points out that had she been at the party, she would have recognised his symptoms and could possibly have saved his life.

Elsewhere, Steve confronts Johnny about his night of passion with Liz; and how will Gemma react when she discovers Johnny and Jenny have bought the pub?

Coronation Street, Wednesday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV, STV and UTV.

The camping group are dismissive about the noises the kids heard in the woods, but the troubled kids are sure of what they heard. The kids make a plan to return to the woods but it is thwarted.

Meanwhile, a desperate Rebecca runs out of water. Losing hope, she slumps back knowing time is running out fast. Can she get out or be rescued soon?

Elsewhere, David offers Matty a job in the shop.

Mandy and Darren start their affair up again, texting and sneaking around. Luke finds an empty morning after pill packet, and realises Mandy is still having her affair.

Meanwhile, Nancy is accompanying Brooke on her date with Imran, the date starts off well, with Nancy hidden behind Imran giving Brooke hand gestures on what to say and do. However, Brooke starts getting confused and asks her ot leave. Later, Imran tries to kiss Brooke but she misunderstands and walks off before he has chance.

Elsewhere, Scott is concerned about Ollie.

Hollyoaks, Wednesday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.
