SoapWeek: Corrie

Daniel breaks the news of Sinead’s cancer to Beth, at the hospital Sinead reveals she’s going to start mild chemo which won’t harm the baby. But as the oncologist explains the procedure she’s clearly terrified. Later, Daniel returns home with Sinead who secretly gives the hospital the brush off when they call with her next appointment.

Meanwhile, Tracy is horrified when Abi suggests putting the twins up for adoption. Suspicious, Steve finds Kevin’s laptop stashed away in the Street Cars’ flat. As he views the incriminating CCTV footage he’s shocked to see Tracy sabotaging Michelle’s car. Later, Steve’s incredulous as Tracy admits what she’s done to him. Consumed by guilt Tracy heads to the police station.

Elsewhere, the police call at Robert’s flat and confirm that Michelle’s car was not the cause of the accident; Ali’s unnerved when he’s summoned to a meeting at the hospital; it’s clear that Gina has a soft spot for Tim; and Peter can’t exorcise his feelings for Carla.

It’s the day of Buster’s plea hearing and Damon manages to convince Brody to go. A successful footballer comes forward to support Buster, and he pleads not guilty.

Russ wakes up next to Goldie, and hides under the bed when Mercedes storms in, nearly getting caught. Russ later books a lavish holiday to show Mercedes how much he loves her, and admits to Goldie that he didn’t cancel the wedding. Goldie decides to blackmail him.

Elsewhere, Sienna takes drastic steps to convince Sally to give her a chance at the school.

Hollyoaks, Wednesday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.

Al wants to win Dinner Winner and as tonight is Halloween he has costumes for everyone – Valerie is the Woman in Black, Emma looks like ‘Carrie’, Al is a Scary Rabbit and Jimmi is a Jester. Later, Al takes them through to the Parlour where he reveals a Ouija Board – a series of strange goings on ensue leaving Valerie in a flap. As they tidy up and Emma teases Al about finding ready-meal cartons in the bin, Jimmi reassures Valerie and suggests that her imagination got the better of her. Suddenly there’s a banging noise coming from down the hall. They are terrified.

Meanwhile, Zara is locking up and surprised to find Sid still in the Mill – they are just about to exit when a power cut hits. Locked in as a result, a frustrated Zara calls the Security Company but there is no immediate assistance on offer. While they wait, trapped, Sid tells the story of El Duende, an evil whistling dwarf from Latin America who terrifies children while Zara opens up about the Izzie situation. Sid then tells another scary story which reaches its climax just as they hear a spooky whistling – someone or something approaches. El Duende?!
