Pick of the Plots: Friday May 24th

The latest goings on in Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.

SoapWeek: Corrie

After Sarah has a rethink, Toyah and Leanne go without her to Rick’s office to quiz him about Nick, who Rick denies any knowledge of. Masquerading as a customer, Leanne phones Rick and sets up a meeting with him at a random address.  Having watched Rick set off, the girls break into his office to search for evidence. As Sharon lets herself into the office suddenly Sarah appears – have they all been caught red handed?

Meanwhile, after Natalie hears David and Nick discussing how their plan to keep her sweet backfired, she wastes no time in agreeing to a date with a client who is a policeman and makes sure Nick knows exactly what she is doing. As David tries to eavesdrop, he’s confronted by Natalie’s date who Shona overhears say that David tried to kiss Natalie. 

Elsewhere Tim and Steve are stunned when Tracy, Eileen and Liz announce that they are going to run Streetcars. The trio meet up with Jay and persuade him to produce a Street Cars App at a knockdown price. Sally reveals her intention to buy a race horse. Jenny, Sinead and Yasmeen agree to buy in too and form a syndicate. 

Coronation Street, Friday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: EastEnders

Mel tries to cover her tracks but when Max suggests a nightcap, she realises that she can’t close down the files she was looking at. Things grow more awkward when Jack and Denise return from their date and join in with the drinking.

Meanwhile, Kat is touched when Kush tells her he wants to go public with their relationship. As Kush waits for Kat at The Vic, Bex plucks up the courage and apologises to him. Kat surprises Kush and the rest of The Vic with a passionate kiss.

Elsewhere, Mick is conflicted when Mitch needs his support while Linda waits for him upstairs. Later, Mitch is touched when Mick and Linda both come through for him. Tiffany confronts Brooke about why she dumped Bernadette.

EastEnders, Friday at 8.30pm on BBC One.

SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

Diane, Scott and Tony assure Sinead that they believe her and that Laurie will pay. Sami tells Sienna and Brody that there is nothing he can do law wise, Sinead lied. Sienna visits Sinead, will they be able to call a truce?

Meanwhile, Sally and Nancy ponder Laurie’s possible guilt. Laurie asks Sally to submit a formal complaint against Sienna and goad’s Sinead into losing it at Price Slice. Back at Sienna’s flat, Sally knocks on the door with some words of support. The police arrive to arrest Sinead for perverting the course of justice, and for the attack and threats to Laurie.

Elsewhere, Darren offers to do the bike delivery for The Hutch, eager to make some money. Later, Darren brags at doing more deliveries than Ollie, but Kyle discovers he drove instead.

Hollyoaks, Friday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.

Sid and Tye both arrive at the residential home; Sid is excited to meet his brother but the residents are out for the day. Sid is disappointed and prepares to leave, but Tye has other ideas, they are supposed to be volunteering.

Later whilst the two are gardening, a people carrier with the residents pulls up. Laurence comes over and greets Tye, and introduces himself to Sid, and they start talking and instantly get along. Laurence has to go, but Sid asks for a picture of the three of them first. Later that night Sid goes to see Tye, he wants to talk…

Meanwhile, Becky steps in when Daniel needs a babysitter. Later Daniel leaves a boring night out with his friend Rich to return to Becky and Joe. It’s Joe’s bedtime, and he asks if Becky can sleepover? Daniel and Becky both laugh, that’s not a good idea, as Becky leaves.

Doctors, Friday at 1.45pm on BBC One.
