Pick of the Plots: Friday 12th July

The latest goings on in Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks.

David tells Shona that Nick is going to tell the truth in court but when it comes to the crunch Nick goes back on his word and blames his brain injury for his actions, accusing David of being the mastermind behind the theft. The Judge reaches a decision. Later, Nick manages to win Audrey round a bit, but Sarah gives him a harder time, telling him she’s having paperwork drawn up to have him emoved as a director of Underworld.  

Meanwhile, Daniel surprises Sinead with a break away in the Scottish borders. However, with Sinead’s male grooming business taking off, Daniel suggests they postpone the holiday. Presenting Sinead with a locket, Daniel proposes again pointing out it’s time they were legally married. They share a tender kiss.

Elsewhere, Seb calls at the nail bar to invite Alina out but with her boss in the back of her mind, Alina tells Seb it’s over between them. Later, Alina’s boss tells Seb that Alina has disappeared. Jan advises Seb to forget about her.

Also, Eileen pulls back from a kiss with Jan – she’s not ready for a relationship; Evelyn and Cerberus find themselves barred from Roy’s Rolls after Cerberus steals a sausage.

Coronation Street, Friday at 7.30pm on ITV, STV and UTV.

It’s race day in Walford and the competition heats up between Mitch and Gray. A proud Linda announces a special offer at The Vic for all medal holders but when the race ends, there’s a surprise winner as Mitch speeds past Gray and Bex. Later, Gray is unimpressed when Mitch admits that he cheated.

Meanwhile, Mick comes clean to Linda – he’s booked the private appointment for Ollie, and despite her surprise, Linda reassures Mick, who’s desperate to help Ollie.

Elsewhere, after seeing Whitney swoon over her dream wedding dress, Stuart hatches a plan to help her out.

EastEnders, Friday at 8.30pm on BBC One.

Debbie offers someone a second chance.

Meanwhile, Moira implores Cain to make amends.

Mercedes gets another message from an unknown number, threatening to reveal her secrets. She is suspicious of Breda, but Liam discovers that the blackmailer is actually Grace.

Meanwhile, Marnie urges James to stop his paranoia and suspicions of Harry, telling him he’s turning out like his evil father.

Elsewhere, the chemistry is still evident between Joel and Goldie when she lends a hand with ‘Hollyoaks in Bloom’. Damon insists on forgoing his dream helicopter for the wedding so that Maxine can have the dress she wants, later Maxine panics when she realises the venue hasn’t been paid for.
