Pick of the Plots: Monday 15th July

The latest goings on in Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, and Hollyoaks.

SoapWeek: Corrie

Eileen’s curiosity is piqued when Paula recognises Jan, but Paula makes out that she is imagining it. After Eileen confides in Liz, Liz googles Jan and finds some worrying information. Over dinner, Eileen confronts Jan. 

Meanwhile, Nick spots himself in a photo that was taken by Beth on the morning of the factory roof collapse. He thinks it proves his innocence, but the police aren’t as convinced. Later, Sarah becomes suspicious of Gary when she joins the Barlow’s for dinner and Carla reveals her that her phone wasn’t amongst the stolen ones she returned, and that she had dreamt Gary had visited her and gone through her handbag.

Elsewhere, Gary’s rattled by a visit from Rick’s daughter, Kelly. He tells Kelly that her father was a loan shark and that he has done a runner. Audrey’s meddling in Maria’s love life doesn’t go to plan; Peter and Carla move into No.1 due to an electrical fault at the café while Roy moves in with Tyrone to Evelyn’s chagrin.

Coronation Street, Monday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: EastEnders

Max fears he has lost Abi for good, but Jack offers some hope when he recognises the hotel logo in a picture from Rainie.

Meanwhile, Rainie makes the most of her riches and meets another hotel guest, Michael, who offers to help her with Abi. Michael spots the bag of money but as he invites Rainie for a drink, she gently lets him down and goes to leave the hotel. However, her check out is delayed when she spots Max and Jack arriving. When Michael helps to see them off, Rainie gratefully kisses him but as she goes to leave, she realises the money has gone.

Elsewhere, Jack pushes Adam to exchange on the flat and spots a half-dressed Habiba in the flat. Later Jack’s police friend, Muski, warns him that his name has come up in an investigation – he attacked Fraser.

Also, Chantelle tries to talk to Keegan about his feelings for Tiffany; Phil is suspicious when he sees Stacey with a new phone and he asks Shirley to do some digging for him.

EastEnders, Monday at 8pm on BBC One.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

Victoria’s delight at having a deposit on a rental offer accepted is short-lived when she receives a letter from Lee’s mum Wendy, demanding a DNA test.

Later, Robert’s interest is piqued when he learns Dawn is wanting money to support Lucas. Desperate to stitch up Lee by any means necessary, Robert offers Dawn £500 to get Lee interested in her.

Meanwhile, Sam offers to accompany Lydia to the burial site; he will let her leave Emmerdale if she doesn’t find the visit helpful. Once there, Lydia finally breaks down and submits to her long-buried grief. Can Lydia ever forgive herself?

Emmerdale, Monday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

Maxine and Damon have to raise the money for their wedding venue by tomorrow. Damon transfers the crowd-funded money for Maxine’s private healthcare to his personal account, planning to spend it on the wedding.

Meanwhile, Liam tells Mercedes that Grace is the blackmailer and they conclude that she must know about the hit and run. Liam decides to tell Grace the truth about the crash. However, before he can do so, he realises that she only knows about the affair.

Liam desperately tries to get in touch with Mercedes to make sure she doesn’t tell Sylver the truth about the crash. Mercedes gets Liam’s text just in time. Later, Mercedes decides to calls things off with Liam for a while, but unhappy with this turn of events, he sends a picture of them kissing to Sylver.

Also, Joel tells Goldie that he really likes her, but they can’t have sex.

Hollyoaks, Monday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.
