A round-up of today’s happenings in EastEnders, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks.

SoapWeek: EastEnders

Gray prepares to go on his course. Across the Square, Karen and Mitch return from Dinah’s inquest, the findings of which were as expected. Wanting to do something special for Bailey, Mitch turns to Chantelle for help and after he pours his heart out to her, she agrees to contribute towards a telescope for her half-sister.

Meanwhile, after some help from Gray, Mel manages to get through to the prison about Hunter. However, she later finds the police on her doorstep – Hunter has escaped.

Elsewhere, with Linda’s smear test results and Callum’s stag do on his mind, Mick is feeling the pressure and things get worse when Stuart arrives at The Vic with Rainie. Linda finds him on the floor and screams for help.

Also, Max is cheesed off with Rainie’s flakiness concerning his seeing Abi; Kathy and Jean support Tiffany as she opens her GCSE results.

SoapWeek: Emmerdale

David, Leyla and Pollard try to cheer up Jacob after he receives disappointing exam results. A sympathetic Priya invites him to join her for lunch, but is dumbfounded by his behaviour during the meal.

Meanwhile, with the pub closed due to dry rot, Charity is mindful of how bad for business this is and starts making alternative plans.

Elsewhere, Kim is cooking something up. Kerry and Amy try to help Vanessa and Tracy.

SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

Maxine is still excited for her living funeral today, much to Sienna’s anger. Sienna tells her to use the event to come clean. Brody catches Damon stealing from Maxine’s medical fund. Later, with the funeral underway, Maxine begins to talk, it seems like she may follow Sienna’s advice, but there’s a distraction when the police arrive to arrest Damon for fraud.

Meanwhile, Lisa tells Jack about the ring that Louis was going to leave her, unaware that he is now in possession of it. With Darren in mind, Breda mixes a vial of poison into cake batter. Later, Mandy arrives to pick the kids up instead of Darren and hears Breda talking to herself, mentioning bloodshed.

Elsewhere, a smitten Liam invites Mercedes to The Loft where he has laid on a surprise. They’re interrupted by a phone call from Sylver whom Liam implores Mercedes to leave for good.

Hollyoaks, Thursday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.
