Pick of the Plots: Wednesday 20th November

The latest goings on in Coronation Street, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.

Daniel visits a local pawn shop in a quest to find his stolen stuff. He smashes his way into a cabinet to get to what he believes is his laptop, however it later transpires that the device wasn’t his. The police arrive at the pawn shop and arrest Daniel – can Craig and Peter persuade the owner to drop the charges?

Meanwhile, Billy tells Paul that his diary went missing after Bernie started working for him. It contains information on funerals and a spate of burglaries have since occurred. Paul and Gemma are horrified to find a bag of stolen goods under the stairs at number 5.

Elsewhere, James confides in Michael that he spent the previous night with a guy called Dan and has lost his phone. As the brothers try to retrieve the phone, Michael is shocked to see his ex Grace with her daughter.

Also, Peter tells Adam that Ken is in hospital with pneumonia; David is put out by Max’s continued interest in Marion; Michelle is receptive to Robert’s ideas for the bistro.

Coronation Street, Wednesday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV, STV and UTV.

Jacob agrees to speak with Leanna. As they talk, she leans in for a kiss and nervously unbuttons her shirt.

Meanwhile, Lydia continues to wrestle with whether or not she should take the Huntington’s test.

Elsewhere, Dawn enlists Billy’s help; Chas reveals her worries.

Emmerdale, Wednesday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.

Darren and Luke finally reach an understanding about DJ, and Darren tells Luke to take a chance on Cindy. At the same time, Cindy admits to Mandy that she still likes Luke, but she’s interrupted by a phone call from the council about the crane disaster in the village.

Cindy is furious when she’s faced with all of the charges for the damages and decides Luke needs to foot the bill. However, Luke has bigger problems when the results from a CT scan reveal that he has shrinkage at the front of his brain from a long-standing condition.

Meanwhile, Ste and Azim decide that their relationship doesn’t currently have legs. Ste sends Leela and Peri a text informing them of his intention to go to Newcastle for a while.

Elsewhere, Sienna and Brody quarrel over Christmas paraphernalia.

Hollyoaks, Wednesday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.

Daniel shoots a video diary ahead of another session with Silas. Later, he returns to his camera and worries that his insecurities cause him to fail everyone around him.

Meanwhile, Gareth comes into the Icon where Jimmi is having a time of it. Gareth confides in Jimmi about his current circumstances. He also tries to find out what Jimmi thinks of Emma.

As Gareth helps out, Jimmi jokes that Gareth should run the place. The conversation rapidly turns more serious than either expect.
