Pick of the Plots: Friday 29th November

The latest goings on in Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.

SoapWeek: Corrie

Fiz and Tyrone are delighted that Hope is to return to school. Fiz breaks the news to Jade that with Hope returning to Bessie Street, her services will no longer be required.

Meanwhile, Michelle’s furious when Robert lets slip that Vicky knows about her ordeal with Ruairi. Later, Robert suggests to Michelle that they gather their family together to tell them about the upcoming wedding. Painting on a smile, Michelle agrees, but tells Carla that the necklace he bought her isn’t enough to win her affections back.

Elsewhere, Roy tears a strip off Richard’s carer for her poor time-keeping. Nina is unimpressed when the carer quits and Roy announces that he’s going to take over her duties.

Also, Steve is disappointed by Emma’s plans to spend Christmas with Fiona in Australia. Emma decides to stay on the street when she realises how much it would mean to Steve.

SoapWeek: EastEnders

Ian gets Martin involved with his councillor campaign but when he mentions Stacey, he’s left in no doubt that it’s a touchy subject. Later, Mick, Linda, Ruby and Max drink together in The Vic, but with Martin also in the pub, it’s not long before there’s a spot of bother. Back at Ruby’s flat, Martin thanks her for her support and as they talk, he leans in for a kiss but stops himself.

Meanwhile, Chantelle admonishes Mitch about his parenting after he failed to return home after a date. Mitch and Chantelle are left touched when they find Gray comforting Bailey about Dinah. Later, Mitch and Bailey stargaze together and Chantelle takes Gray by surprise when she passionately kisses him – are they back on track?

Elsewhere, Ash tries to boost Honey’s confidence; Mick realises Linda’s drinking is getting out of control; Kat is getting fed up of living with Patrick; and Kush gives Sheree advice about Denise.

EastEnders, Friday at 8.30pm on BBC One.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

When the childminder cancels on Laurel, Jimmy offers to look after Archie, happy to put the abuse accusations behind him.

Meanwhile, Pete is concerned about Moira.

Elsewhere, Kim is suspicious of Graham’s motives.

SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

Liam tells Grace about Sylver’s arrest, whilst Goldie and Breda are shocked when Mercedes confirms that it was Sylver who shot her. Later, Grace is left stunned when Mercedes admits that she lied to the police to get Sylver back for sleeping with her.

Meanwhile, Scott is confused when a trendy couple arrive to view Mitchell’s flat. He soon finds out that Mitchell and Martine have plotted to get rid of the flat so he can’t move in. Scott agrees to give Mitchell time as long as he doesn’t lie to him again.

Elsewhere, Brody has a word with Sid who agrees to leave in the morning. Sienna is furious and tells Brody that if he can’t support her with Sid, then she’ll look after him on her own.

Hollyoaks, Friday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.

Daniel is looking forward to spending time with Izzie and Joe in the runup to Christmas. However, his delight soon turns to disappointment as Izzie explains she’s made other arrangements.

His plans for Joe fall through as well when Joe remembers that he’s going to Vienna with his mum and Adam. Although hurt, Daniel decides to be the bigger person.

Later, Daniel vents his frustrations through a video diary; his Christmas spirit well and truly dissipated…
