Pick of the Plots: Friday 6th December

The latest goings on in Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.

SoapWeek: Corrie

After Paul shares his concerns that Kel might get off, Bernie goes to the precinct, writing ‘paedo’ under his picture on the security team noticeboard. A fight breaks out and Chesney accidentally pushes Kel’s face into a wall. Bernie legs it, leaving Chesney to face the music.

Meanwhile, the question Robert and Michelle over Vicky’s disappearance. Carla is also questioned, noting that Robert beat up Richie in order to protect Michelle.

Elsewhere, Derek calls by the furniture shop and asks for £3000, but Gary only bungs him a few quid and tells him to clear off. Nick and Sarah secretly meet up with Derek and agree to buy the factory from him. Gary is suspicious of them; Maria puts his interest down to still fancying Sarah but Gary assures her otherwise.

Also, Rita has planned to go to Edinburgh to see Emily, but remembers that she’d promised to feed Mrs MacElroy’s cat. Later, Rita confides in Jenny that she’s no longer going to Edinburgh, but in her search for an alternative cat feeder, she’s realised she has no friends.

SoapWeek: EastEnders

As Keanu and Louise wait for the ambulance, Phil confronts Sharon about Lisa’s accusations. Sharon rubbishes the claims, leaving Phil feeling guilty. Alone, Sharon makes a mysterious call while Phil heads to the hospital after hearing about Louise. With Louise asking for Sharon, Phil fails to get hold of her.

Ben and Phil have a heart to heart after which Ben hatches a plan to help fix his dad’s reputation. At The Arches, Ben arranges to meet Shirley and when Tubbs arrives, he puts his plan into action.

Meanwhile, Mick’s plan starts to unravel but then Miss Gardner reveals surprising news, leaving him and Linda elated. However, Mick is soon brought back down to earth with a bump when he realises Linda has been drinking.

Elsewhere, Jack warns Whitney off Leo but when he brings up what happened in court, he finds that Leo got there first. Jean gets emotional about Daniel.

EastEnders, Friday at 8.30pm on BBC One.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

Arthur is upset to hear that Jai and Archie will be spending Christmas with him and Laurel. Laurel and Jai are optimistic it will work, unaware that Arthur is continuing to bully Archie.

Meanwhile, Graham’s plan is thwarted.

Elsewhere, Wendy is grateful.

SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

Edward suggests that Finn should make amends with the community by doing a speech at Marnie’s grand opening, but it doesn’t go to plan. A despondent Finn contemplates his future in Hollyoaks, but Yazz asks him to say for her and they kiss. Later, Yazz shows Finn a news article of Edward being arrested for killing his wife.

Meanwhile, Marnie is preparing for the grand opening of her French inspired patisserie and is taking every detail very seriously, including speaking to her staff in French and teaching Romeo the correct pronunciation of Bon Appetit.

Elsewhere, Tom wonders whether Luke has been seeing someone else and Cindy decides to confront him. Sid asks Juliet if she wants to meet up after school, however Ollie and Imran invite her to go bowling.

Hollyoaks, Friday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.

Karen is indignant when Rob calls to ask her if she has been speeding in the pool car. Later, Karen is horrified when Ayesha and Valerie remind her of the circumstances that led to the speeding…

Meanwhile, Adam tries to make light of recent events with Joe, but Zara worries that he could be developing a phobia. Zara realises there’s only one person she can speak to about Joe and rings Daniel. As Daniel opens up about going to counselling, he remembers that Emma also suffers from a fear of clowns and may be able to help…

Elsewhere, the atmosphere is frosty when Bear and Jimmi meet for the first time.
