Jackie Woodburne and Alan Fletcher lead Neighbours Farewell Tour

Maple Tree Entertainment, in collaboration with Fremantle Australia, has this week announced the initial cast for Neighbours: The Farewell Tour.

Yesterday on ITV presenter Carol Vorderman, revealed live on The Lorriane Kelly Show the first two names to join the tour next year.

Two iconic stars from the show, Jackie Woodburne and Alan Fletcher, who have played the loveable Kennedy duo for 27 years are now confirmed to travel to the UK in March 2023 for the highly-anticipated tour, which is set to open in Belfast on 1st March 2023 and tour 15 dates throughout the UK.

Together, both stars have remained mainstay characters on the show since joining in 1994.

The ‘King and Queen of Ramsay Street’ have been front and centre for some of the biggest scenes over the last 28 years with many dramatic storylines; including Karl’s affair with Sarah, and the breakdown of their marriage when Karl fell for Izzy. They have both been involved in heart-warming and emotional episodes, such as Susan’s amnesia, her battle with MS and the thrilling Finn Kelly storyline that culminated in 2020.

Jackie and Alan have been key cast members right until the end of the show, which is due to air later this month, and have remained two of the most beloved characters on our screens for almost three decades.

Alan Fletcher:

“I have been incredibly moved by the outpouring of love and support from fans as their favourite TV show is ending it’s 37 year run. Which is why I am so excited to be involved in the Farewell Tour. These shows will bring together thousands of dedicated fans to join cast past and present in a huge celebration of the show we all love so much. I expect this tour to be an unforgettable experience for the audience and cast alike.”

Following phenomenal demand, two additional dates for the tour have also been announced. An 8-date UK tour of Neighbours – The Farewell Tour was announced in June and all 8 shows sold-out very quickly. A further 5 dates were added and now the tour has been extended once more to include two extra dates.

Following two sold-out London Palladium shows, a third date has been added for Thursday 23rd March, along with a new date which will see the cast travel to the Southwest as the show will also visit Bath Forum on Wednesday 22nd March.

Both extra shows will be going on sale to fans this week with a pre-sale starting today, Thursday 14th July, and the general sale on Friday 15th July.

With further cast to be announced, the exclusive tour will bring to the UK iconic cast members and will take a look back at the incredible history of one of Britain’s most-loved TV programmes. This celebration will give Neighbours fans a chance to reminisce on their favourite Ramsay Street moments over the last three and a half decades. The audience will be treated to never-before-heard stories from Erinsborough and get a chance to ask their own burning questions to their most-loved actors.

Debuting in 1985, Neighbours has become a household name and birthed many a star including A-listers Margot Robbie and Kylie Minogue. The soap, devised by Crossroads producer Reg Watson, will come to an end next week after 37 years on the air – but UK audiences will be able to say ‘farewell’ in person with this ultimate celebration of the show. This is an event made by fans, for the fans, and if you love Neighbours, this is a tour not to be missed!

With meet and greet opportunities and a Q&A section planned at each location, fans will get to be up close and personal with some of their best-loved cast members from the show.
