Monday
After an altercation with Tyler, Nicole turns to Alex for a welcome distraction however he ignores her calls. Feeling snubbed, Nicole goes to challenge Alex but comes across a weakened Karen, on her way home from a chemo session. Nicole offers her support to Karen, much to Alex’s disbelief.
Later, a drunken Alex confronts Nicole at The Two Jailbirds, telling her he hates how much he’s become dependent on her. Sensing Alex’s vulnerability, the two connect – finding a shared desire to be together, despite the fact their affair will devastate their loved ones.
Elsewhere, it’s the day of Rebecca’s return to competitive boxing but Angus misjudges his timing by bringing up the subject of having a baby, again. Accusing Angus of being thoughtless, Rebecca tells him his selfishness has knocked her confidence and she has no chance of winning her boxing match. Feeling downbeat, Rebecca turns to Roisin for much-needed words of support and encouragement.
Following her shocking confession to Brooke, Lou struggles with the aftermath of her shocking admission, doubting her ability to be a police officer anymore. Emotions frayed, Lou lashes out at Sonny and Lydia while Amber offers salient advice – take some time off work or risk having a breakdown.
Wednesday
Feeling powerless as the police investigation into her assault continues, Lydia turns to a protective Lenny for support. Overwhelmed by it all, Lydia and Lenny are thrilled when Callum makes a surprise visit, revealing his summer holidays have been overshadowed by Scarlett and Madonna’s constant bickering.
Completely in the dark about what’s going on, Callum’s suspicions grow after Lenny suggests Andrew is not the nice guy everyone thinks he is. Lydia is touched by Callum’s concern but their day is interrupted when a furious Scarlett turns up. Lydia’s stunned when the police make their decision – causing further upset within the Murdoch and O’Hara families.
Elsewhere, Rebecca asks for a heart-to-heart with Angus and he beats her to the punch, suggesting the time has come to break up. Sensing Angus’s heart-break, Bob urges his pal to think twice. However, when Angus tries to make amends, he’s stunned to discover Rebecca has already come to terms with a future without him.
Mikey’s delighted when Gillian invites him to be her guest at a doctor’s ball. Turns out her boyfriend Ash can’t come because he’s sporting a football injury which means he can’t dance. However, when Mikey comes across a spritely Ash, he realises he’s been lying – too embarrassed he can’t dance in front of Gillian’s doctor friends. Ever a good friend, Mikey tangos to the rescue, offering Ash dance lessons.
