Ben is struggling with his feelings of inadequacy ahead of Jay’s parental rights hearing. As he works out some of his frustration at the gym, George lends him an ear and encourages him to be there for Lexi, no matter how he feels.

Jay is relieved when Ben makes it to the court in the nick of time, but later, Honey picks up on a troubled Ben’s behaviour around food. She follows him home and tries to get Ben to open up to her, sharing her own experiences with bulimia. Ben rejects Honey’s support before breaking down.

Meanwhile, Sonia has no idea why Reiss is so off with her, unaware that he thinks she’s cheated. Later, at no.25, Sonia takes a pregnancy test with Whitney there for support. Whitney catches Reiss trying to get into Sonia’s phone. Sonia confronts Reiss and is devastated to realise that he wants kids – just not with her.

Elsewhere, Patrick is surprised by the arrival of a special visitor – Yolande! Her boyfriend Anton has thrown her out and she wants to stay with him, but nervous Patrick isn’t sure that’s a good idea. Bruised, Yolande leaves in a huff.

Also, Freddie decides to visit his mum. Kat tells him to remember how hard Little Mo has fought to protect him.

Jenny and Daisy are gutted when Glenda pulls out of the event they are throwing to impress the Newtons due to illness. They fear the night could be a flop, threatening the chances of Philip and Henry agreeing to buy The Rovers. Later, Henry gently breaks the news to Jenny that having looked at the accounts, the brewery isn’t prepared to buy The Rovers and hands her the contact details of a developer.

Meanwhile, Eliza lies to Yasmeen and Stu that she is going to holiday club. When Stu finds out there is no holiday club and he can’t find her anywhere, he is shocked to find her with a strange man at the precinct.

Elsewhere, Rufus’ wife Lou calls at the factory and tells Stephen and Michael she has cancelled the meeting as the inquest report into Rufus’s death is due out tomorrow, she suspects foul play and she has contacted the Gazette. Stephen masks his panic.

Also, Adam tells Dee-Dee he’s heading into town to get drunk and forget about the last few weeks.

Coronation Street, ITV1, tonight at 8pm

Laurel and Jai’s plans are jeopardised.

Meanwhile, Caleb hands Nate over to Corey for his training. Corey promises there are ways to make extra cash on the side.

When client Harry arrives, he’s impressed by Nate. Before long, Nate returns with a big tip and is happy to confirm to Corey that Caleb doesn’t have to know.

Elsewhere, despite Dan’s best efforts to plan for her future, Amelia is convinced there is another path they can take – to go on the run.
