Television star and animal-lover Vicky Pattison is taking on the London Landmarks Half Marathon for an RSPCA rescue centre. Vicky and her fiance, Ercan Ramadan, will be lacing up their running shoes on 7 April to join thousands of runners pounding the pavements of London for 13.1 miles, while taking in some of the capital’s most famous landmarks.

Vicky, telly and radio presenter, author and podcaster who is well-known for her appearances in Geordie Shore, Celebrity Masterchef and Josh Must Win – recently took on an Arctic Challenge for Comic Relief and is now poised to run for the RSPCA’s Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home, in Gloucestershire.

Vicky Pattison:

“I’ll be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon on 7 April to raise much-needed funds and awareness for the fantastic guys at The Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home. I’m feeling a little bit nervous, but I will have my gorgeous Ercan by my side which I’m sure will help get me through – not to mention all of these gorgeous boys and girls that I’m helping raise money for.”

Vicky Pattison – who has two rescued Labradors, Max and Milo – visited Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home on earlier this month and was thrilled to meet many of the animals in their care, including Honey, a charming French Bulldog with a heart as big as her personality.

Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home Fundraising Manager Haley Medlock:

“Vicky and Honey formed a special bond, as if they were long-lost friends reuniting. It was a touching moment that highlighted the importance of animal welfare and the profound impact of human compassion. Vicky’s visit not only brought joy to the animals but also raised awareness of the vital work being done by our team here at Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home in providing a safe haven for animals, like Honey, who deserve love and care.”

The London Landmarks Half Marathon is not just a race; it’s a celebration of compassion and community spirit. Vicky and Ercan’s participation shines a spotlight on the vital work undertaken by organisations like the RSPCA and Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home, reminding us all of the importance of extending a helping hand to those who cannot speak for themselves.

Haley added: “We are incredibly grateful for Vicky and Ercan’s dedication to our cause. Their involvement in the London Landmarks Half Marathon will undoubtedly make a significant difference in the lives of the animals we care for. It’s wonderful to have their support as the RSPCA celebrates its 200th year this year. And it shows that together, we can create a brighter future for animals.”

Last May, Vicky got stuck in at the RSPCA’s Southridge Animal Centre, in Hertfordshire, as part of the Big Help Out; a nationwide volunteering event following King Charles III’s Coronation. She helped to plant wildflowers, build bird boxes and walk dogs at the centre.

Vicky and Ercan are raising money for Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home which provides shelter, medical care and love to animals in need. In 2023, Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home rehomed 273 animals and supported a total of 1,431 animals through its schemes, including its outreach clinic and voucher schemes.
