The 2025 event sees the UK represented by Remember Monday, let’s hope it doesn’t turn into a ‘let’s forget Saturday’…
Eurovision continues to be the biggest betting event of the year outside of traditional sports events, with wagering on this year’s contest set to reach new heights, according to Oddschecker.
The latest estimations suggest that over £200 million will be wagered globally on Eurovision 2025, reflecting the continued surge in betting interest surrounding the iconic competition.
Sam Eaton, UK Country Manager for Oddschecker:
“Outside of sports betting and the US Election, Eurovision is the most significant betting event globally. In 2024, more money was traded on Eurovision via Betfair Exchange than the Grand National. While total global betting figures are challenging to pinpoint exactly, it is reasonable to project that total wagers on Eurovision 2025 will surpass £200 million.”
The Eurovision Winner market is currently forecasted to be the most popular outright betting market on Oddschecker in 2025, eclipsing major markets such as the Premier League Winner and the US Masters Winner.
Interest in Eurovision betting continues to soar, as evidenced by global search data. Google search volumes for “Eurovision Odds” are currently four times greater than searches for “Super Bowl Odds” and ten times greater than searches for “Grand National Odds”.
Betting interest on Oddschecker reflects Eurovision’s global popularity, with visitors from 145 countries accessing Eurovision betting markets so far in 2025. Eurovision-related URLs are also projected to deliver the highest web traffic for Oddschecker this year.
Ahead of Thursday evening’s Semi-Final 2, Sweden remain the clear favourites to win Eurovision, priced at even money (1/1), translating to an implied probability of 50%. Sweden have been backed by 21% of all bets placed on the outright winner market via Oddschecker in 2025.
