Eubank Jnr World Title fight for ‘ITV Box Office’

ITV announces exclusive live ‘pay per view’ coverage of a world title fight that will see Chris Eubank Jnr take on Renold Quinlan.

The IBO World Super Middleweight Title bout between Eubank Jnr, Britain’s number one middleweight, and Quinlan, holder of the IBO World Super Middleweight Title, will be shown on ITV Box Office, ITV’s new pay per view channel, early next year as ‘The Big Fight Live’ returns.

“We are the Next Generation and my team and I will now show fight fans the highest standard and quality of world championship boxing entertainment. I feel blessed to have this opportunity to work with ITV after they first showcased my father 26 years ago. And I intend to deliver more of what my father did: speed, power, accuracy, showmanship and the will to fight and beat the best of the best. Maybe even with a little bit more swagger!” – Former British middleweight champion and former interim world middleweight champion, Chris Eubank Jnr

The Eubank Jnr v Quinlan contest will be the first time the broadcaster has shown a pay per view event. ‘ITV Box Office’ will be widely available to viewers on television and online.

Full details of The Big Fight Live undercard, how to register to view and the competitive prices for the bout, will be revealed well in advance of the event. The promoter is Poxon Sports in association with Unity Motion.

“I’m not scared of anyone, I’ll take on the best when ever and where ever. I don’t want to just be Australia’s greatest boxer; I want to be the world’s best. I’ll travel across the world to fight anyone who puts their hand up to fight me. I’ve been waiting my whole life to prove I’ve got what it takes, this is my time and Eubank Jnr is going to know this.” – Renold Quinlan

Niall Sloane, ITV Director of Sport, added: “Many people will recall watching Chris Eubank Jnr’s father in action in some of his most memorable fights on ITV, so it feels fitting for the Eubank name to feature in the first broadcast on our new channel.”
