Pick of the Plots: Monday October 9th

SoapWorld takes a look at the latest goings on in Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.

Shona takes David with her to meet Dane where they refuse to hand over any money. David sees red when Dane insults Kylie. Later, David and Shona are horrified when as they prepare for a trip to the Peak District, Dane locks himself in the car with the kids.

Meanwhile, when Billy spots Shona’s £1k in an envelope on Adam’s desk, he takes it and shares it out amongst the factory workers. How will Shona react when she finds out where her money has gone?

Elsewhere, Zeedan’s gobsmacked when Rana suggests they have a baby; Rana’s shaken when a furious Imogen accuses her of fancying Kate; Amy’s up to no good; Andy can scarcely believe Phelan has agreed to his plan.

Carmel apologises to Stacey for everything that’s happened between them but fails to admit she was the one responsible for calling social services. As Carmel takes the children home, Kush confronts her – he knows it was her.

Woody notices that Linda is in pain. She eventually admits that she has the same symptoms which led to her cancer diagnosis. Woody encourages her to tell Mick, but Linda is reluctant to upset him.

Elsewhere, Sharon suggests Michelle report Tom to the old bill; Ted clocks on that Joyce is hiding something from him.

The village is in shock following recent events. Pete and Ross clash in the Woolpack.

Harriet is still struggling with her guilt over ignoring Emma. She feels Cain’s taking her for granted as well but things thaw between them when he takes her for afternoon tea. However, Cain is soon knocked for six.

Elsewhere, Doug gives Gerry a job to pay off his debts; Lydia is worried that her lies will be exposed.

Emmerdale, Monday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.

Ste returns to the village and tries to avoid Harry. He’s shocked when he hears that the police are planning to exhume Amy’s body and that Ryan has given his consent. Later, Tony overhears an argument between Harry and Ste, and thinks that Ste really did kill Amy. He’s about to call the police when Harry confesses that he’s the killer…

Elsewhere, Mac assets his authority over Brody; Nana returns prompting Cleo to reveal her pregnancy news.

Hollyoaks, Monday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.

Mrs Tembe receives a letter; Sid has been shortlisted for a diversity award, a prestigious award for those showing exceptional talent and promise. However, his reaction to the news is muted, especially when she describes it as important for ‘people such as ourselves’ to be recognised. Believing it to be ‘tokenism’, he declines. Sid confides in Al and Jimmi but will he change his mind?

Elsewhere, Daniel is worried that his life is becoming stale; Valerie finds herself in a moral quandary.
