Carla tells Johnny how sorry she is for her part in Rana’s death and that she wants to make it up to Kate, but Johnny advises her to steer clear. Ken urges Carla to focus on the future and to do something positive for the factory girls. Carla approaches Yasmeen about setting up a temporary factory in the community centre, angering Imran. After the chaos of the first memorial Kate resolves to hold another for Rana. Will the service be the mark of respect Kate is hoping for?
Meanwhile, Chesney hurtles down the stairs to find the washing machine flooding the kitchen and an oblivious Gemma preoccupied with her headphones on. A mortified Gemma promises to buy him a replacement. Later, Chesney continues to despair of Gemma’s immature behaviour after he returns home from work to blaring music and smoke billowing from under the door. With Tyrone’s help they break down the door to find Gemma and Paul dancing around the living room with a new sound system, a smoke machine and Rita watching in amusement on the couch.
Elsewhere, Roy tells Brian he is going to Portsmouth to do some further research on the ring. Geoff offers Brian some gardening advice. David is forced to give Natalie a trial at the barber shop but when Leanne recognises her as Nick’s ‘solicitor’, is the game up for Nick?

Ruby heads to court but when she learns the verdict could be in sooner than she had thought, she immediately messages Stacey. At the same time, Jean is about to undergo chemo for the first time, but she encourages Stacey to go and be with Ruby. Stacey, Jay and Martin arrive at court to hear the judge’s verdict. Back at the hospital, Shirley encourages Jean to write a list of things she wants to achieve to distract her and is later surprised to see what’s on Jean’s list.
Meanwhile, Keanu tries his best to get back on track with Louise and later when Phil and Sharon find them canoodling on the sofa, Sharon hides her jealousy and disappointment. Billy’s excited about having Lola and Lexi back but Lola can’t help feeling guilty – what is she up to? Denise offers Lola a job in the new salon but Lola declines.
Also, Bernadette welcomes Ted home, but will she tell him what happened in his flat while he was away?

Mercedes and Grace are loving throwing shade at each other for their battle of the best night out. Mercedes hires Scott to perform in drag for her entertainment tonight, and suggests he dresses as Grace! Later, Scott is in drag as Grace in front of a packed audience at The Dog.
Meanwhile, Maxine is overwhelmed by the support she has received from Liberty, Sienna, Brody and of course, Damon. She promises everyone she will do everything to fight this.
Elsewhere, Lily is overwhelmed by her work, and Diane has brought Farrah in to help. Laurie is taking Sinead and Hannah on a family holiday.

It’s the early hours and Al wakes to find himself on Jimmi’s bedroom floor – it was his lights Jimmi punched out. With Al in a disorientated state, Jimmi calls Daniel and Sid over to assess the situation. As Sid and Daniel bicker over what to do, Al slips away.
Al makes his way to The Mill, but he can’t remember the alarm code and in his frustration he trips and knocks himself out. The police call Daniel to alert him to the alarm at The Mill being triggered, and Daniel, Jimmi and Sid head over there. With Al annoyed with them for their sniping, Daniel and Sid slope away leaving Al and Jimmi alone.
Al recalls his Auntie Sheila and how she took him to a 50’s diner after school and that she helped him get out of PE when the class Bully had picked on him for liking the new girl Gracie. She’d also introduced him to sci-fi. Al’s memories are supported by flashback scenes. The next day at work, Al claims he fell out of bed and when Karen sees he has ‘War of the Worlds’ in his bag, Al tells her how important it is to him.
