Pick of the Plots: Tuesday 22nd October
The latest goings on in EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.
Jay’s plans for a day out with Lexi and Lola are scuppered when he gets a new booking at work. Both Jay and Callum are amazed at the scale of the funeral requested but Jay isn’t prepared for whose it is – Terry Bates, the man responsible for his father’s death. Callum asks Ben for help as Lola comforts Jay.
Meanwhile, Whitney is upset when her stall is vandalised but Leo is quick to help, before his first day at work with Gray. However, Leo is annoyed when he realises Callum might spoil his plan to get close to Whitney.
Elsewhere, Martin speaks to Jack about a ‘friend’ in trouble. Suspicious, Jack quizzes Sonia who covers for Martin again. Kush promises to pay for a weekend away for Kat and Jean but his plan doesn’t go well.

As Moira and Nate are leaving their hotel, Cain arrives and they suppress their panic. Cain coerces Moira and Nate into his car and soon they pull up at a lakeside pier – they are taking a fishing trip. Moira and Nate are fearful over what Cain has planned.
Once on board, Cain takes Nate to task over the affair. Cain and Nate fight on the tiny boat and Cain picks up a plank, preparing to finish the job. Could he kill Nate? In the commotion of the fight, Moira’s pushed overboard.
Meanwhile, it’s the reopening of The Woolpack, but Bob reveals the builders won’t fix the toilet door in time. Having gone to investigate, Marlon and Chas are helpless when they realise they’re trapped in the toilet without a phone between them – just as Chas’s waters break.
Emmerdale, Tuesday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.
Ollie tells Brooke about his idea for Brody and Sienna to raise their baby but Brody hasn’t had a chance to speak to Sienna yet. Brooke mistakenly tells Nancy that Sienna wants to take her baby. Nancy confronts Sienna in the school corridor and warns her that she’s not going to get away with it, leaving Sienna confused.
Sienna refuses to get involved, but Brody makes her see that this could be their last chance to start a family together. Later, Mandy and Luke are shocked to hear that Sienna and Brody are going to raise Ollie and Brooke’s baby.
Meanwhile, Cindy fills Edward in on her bird dilemma and tries to convince Diane to hear him out. Later, Finn is shocked when he sees Edward killing the rare birds.
Elsewhere, Goldie books an appointment with a psychiatrist for Breda.
Hollyoaks, Tuesday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.
Valerie tells Al that the Icon faces demolition if new owners aren’t found. Al puts a plan to Jimmi – running a bar, brewing their own beer. Jimmi is extremely sceptical but Al tells him they have a viewing at the Icon tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Izzie arrives, remarking that Daniel’s new house is smaller than the last one. As Becky prepares food, Izzie reveals that she is vegan now. Becky keeps a cool head and changes her plan but Izzie makes things as awkward as possible. Later, Daniel talks to Izzie, who tells him that with his track record, she can’t see it lasting with Becky.
Elsewhere, Zara gets a phone call from Adam and he asks her out for dinner…
