Pick of the Plots: Tuesday March 28th

SoapWorld takes a look at the latest goings on in River City, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors this Tuesday.

SoapWeek: River City

Murdoch Enterprises becomes a target of vandalism which Lenny quickly discovers is a message from new gangster in town, Rick Harper. Rick makes his intentions to take control of Shieldinch clear. However, Lenny refuses to be intimidated and demands compensation for the vandalism. Later, a beaten-up Alex is a sign that Rick’s threats are very real.

Meanwhile, a heartbroken Amber returns from DI Donald’s funeral, oblivious to the fact she’s being tailed by DCI Grant. She tells Lenny she has questions about DI Donald’s death leading him to try and get her to leave town. 

Elsewhere, Bob is in a good mood having new girlfriend Kim staying with him, but Scarlett is less pleased. However, Bob later has doubts about his relationship when Angus makes a joke. There’s sibling rivalry behind the bar at the Tall Ship as Ellie and Caitlin are forced to compete for a job which Ellie eventually gets.

River City, Tuesday at 8pm on BBC One Scotland.


SoapWeek: EastEnders

The truth unravels about Michelle and Preston following Bex putting Michelle on the spot. Michelle’s world comes crashing down as she is forced to face the fallout. How will her loved ones react to her relationship with 17-year-old Preston? As the pressure rises, Michelle loses control leading to disastrous consequences.

Denise friend-zones Kush, prompting him to suggest they go to The Albert for drinks. However Kush soon sets out his true feelings and tells Denise she needs to make a decision about their future.

Elsewhere, Whitney supports Tina as she becomes emotional about Sylvie.

EastEnders, Tuesday at 7.30pm on BBC One. Repeated at 10pm on UKTV channel ‘W’.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

Debbie clocks that Faith is struggling with Chas’s hostility and decides to set them both up to get them together.

Meanwhile, Harriet finds Cain, just before the police do, with a bag full of stolen phones. Furious to have become involved in his scheme she later confronts him and snubs his cheeky offer of a cut of the proceeds. Cain warns Harriet not to confess.

Elsewhere, Arthur is feeling under the weather.

Emmerdale, Tuesday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

Amy worries when Leah tells her that Ste knows about their move. When an emergency hearing rules in Amy’s favour she reassures Ste that he’ll still be a part of Leah and Lucas’s lives and invites him to read them a goodnight story, prompting an unimpressed Ryan to storm out of the flat.

Amy feels conflicted as she listens to Ste reading to their children. Ste begs Amy for one more chance but she closes the door on him, prompting one of his blackouts. Later,  Ste stands under the shower with blood swirling down the plug hole, what has he done?

Mercedes steals the keys to James’ flat from The Dog as part of a plan with Scott to steal and sell James’s belongings, and pay him back with his own money. Meanwhile, James offers Harry a shoulder to cry on, and as James talks about John Paul’s infidelity, Harry is adamant that Ste won’t get away with what he’s done this time.

Hollyoaks, Tuesday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.

Emma wakes up and cringes as she recalls the previous day’s events. The urgency to smooth things over with Jimmi soon dawns on her. Meanwhile, Jimmi is gravely informing Mrs Tembe and the other partners that they need to talk – about Emma. A panicked Emma interrupts their meeting, but has Jimmi spilled the beans? Later Zara gives Emma fresh cause to worry.

JJ calls Mrs Tembe with a romantic plan for lunch but is left deflated when she blows him out. Is she trying to give him the brush off?

Elsewhere, Ayesha encounters a woman who walked out on her family seven years ago. As Ayesha reunites the woman with her husband, the woman is given some devastating news while her return proves too much for her estranged husband to cope with.

Doctors, Tuesday at 1.45pm on BBC One.
