Saturday entertainment quiz Alan Carr’s Picture Slam will return to BBC One for a third series…
Kalpna Patel-Knight, Head of Entertainment at the BBC:
“Our audience will be excited to know that there’s going to be a third series of Alan Carr’s Picture Slam. Alan is truly one of the best hosts on TV, he has a magical way of connecting with the contestants with his infectious energy and quick wit. This seemingly simple game turns up so many funny moments, and what’s great is that all the family can play along.”
The imagery quiz show sees host Alan Carr test contestants’ knowledge – and speed – in a number of fast-paced rounds as they try to identify as many pictures as they can to be in the chance of winning the £10,000 jackpot. Last year’s series averaged 3.2m across its run, peaking at 4.1m, making it the second biggest entertainment teatime title.

The first series of Alan Carr’s Picture Slam aired in 2023 and was the BBC’s biggest Entertainment launch of the year and the second biggest new Entertainment launch across the market.
Alan Carr:
“I am beyond excited that Picture Slam is back for a series three. This show is an absolute joy to be part of – irreverent, silly but most importantly fun! And you never know you might even learn something!! Here’s to slamming more pictures!!! Yay!”
Filming will take place in the Spring at Pacific Quay in Glasgow. Applications are now open until Friday 21 February. Click here to apply. Picture Slam will return for six episodes to air in a 45-minute slot
