SoapWeek: Corrie

Sarah is stunned when she gets a call from Joe (Gary’s mate), who reveals that there has been an explosion in Ukraine and they fear Gary has been killed. A devastated Sarah refuses to believe it is true, until Gary’s St Christopher is found amongst the wreckage.

David is intrigued by Phelan’s reaction to the news of Gary’s death and follows him to Nicola’s house. When Phelan leaves, David hammers on Nicola’s door demanding answers. Under pressure, she admits to her one-night stand with Gary and to carrying his baby.

Elsewhere, Rana tells Luke she’s pregnant; Luke becomes suspcious about Andy; Brian is disappointed when Yasmeen asks Roy to be Santa at her grotto; Mary is aghast to learn of Jude and Angie’s plans to return to SA for good.

Coronation Street, Monday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV, UTV and STV.

SoapWeek: EastEnders

Mick, Linda and the entire pub struggle to take in the news that the Carters are to be evicted at the start of January and various properties on the Square will be turned into luxury flats. Everyone is left stunned to hear the extent of Max’s involvement and as the Carters try to think of a way out, Max proposes to Fi in front of the crowd.

Across the Square, Kathy reels from seeing Willmott-Brown again and Ian attempts to break the news about who the café is being sold to. They are interrupted however when they learn that Ben is in hospital. At the hospital, Phil and Kathy realise Luke is to blame. Kathy does her best to calm Phil and convinces him not to take action. However back in the Square, Phil makes a call to Aidan …

Elsewhere, Kim finds out that she has had a miscarriage.

SoapWeek: Emmerdale

When on a ‘date’ with Pete, Leyla is unable to tell Pete she doesn’t want to be with him, especially after seeing the effort he has made for her. However, Tracy puts her foot in it, leaving Leyla mortified. David and Pete come to blows. Later, Leyla admits her true feelings to David, but feels dejected when he walks away.

Keen to see Aaron move on from Robert, Liv swipes Aaron’s phone and lures Alex to The Mill. Alex arrives and is shocked to learn Aaron never contacted him. Aaron is stumped when Chas asks him why he won’t go out with Alex.

Elsewhere, Lisa loses her patience with Zak; Rhona’s annoyed about the school play and has a meeting with Jessie.

Emmerdale, Monday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.

SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

Prince promises to help Sally win Myra over and Sally encourages Prince to hold onto Lily but Myra stands Sally up when she plans a romantic gesture at Nightingale’s.

Cindy returns to find the grotto has been shut down and that Mac is in hospital. Later, Dirk catches Cindy looking through his phone. After a massive argument, Dirk confides in Myra, while Cindy has fun with Brody. However, Dirk and Myra end up in bed together!

Elsewhere, James arranges for Mac to be transferred to a care home away from Hollyoaks. Meanwhile, Sami suspects James of being behind Mac’s fall.

Hollyoaks, Monday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.

Doctors Pick of the Plots logo

At the hotel Zara, Daniel and Joe have slipped into a monotonous routine. Joe is bored so Daniel pretends that a plain clothes officer guarding them is a pirate and that they have to defeat him as a pirate gang. Joe is thrilled.

Meanwhile, Al enjoys his mother’s company at home, pleased she is relaxed and talking about his past accomplishments. Worry creeps in though when she can’t find her shopping list after she just put it in her pocket. Al persuades Heston to see his mum. Will Eve be angry when she discovers what Al is up to?
