Pick of the Plots: Monday April 30th

We take a look at the latest goings on in Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.

SoapWeek: Corrie

Gary calls to see David at the salon and tells him that he thinks he is heading for a breakdown and that it is probably a delayed reaction to Kylie’s death. David goes along with it to appease Gary. Maria decides to try and talk to David, but is later shocked to find Emma in a state of undress at No.8.

Alya’s furious when Kate suggests she should move back into number 6 and let Rana move into the flat. Alya heads off to work where Summer has spotted a miscalculation in her figures that could have cost Aidan thousands of pounds. Summer apologies to Alya for showing her up and the pair pitch a sportswear range to an impressed Aidan and Carla. Meanwhile, Rana tells Kate that she can’t move into the flat. Zeedan needs her help.

Elsewhere, on a night out with Mike Liz finds herself glancing at Johnny. Billy returns from rehab. Nicola is concerned when she locks herself out and can’t find the spare key. Seb later finds it and says it was there all along but Nicola is not convinced.

Coronation Street, Monday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV, UTV and STV.


SoapWeek: EastEnders

Whitney is delighted when Halfway makes a surprise return to the Square but as she celebrates with the Carters at The Vic, everyone realises that Halfway is injured. Not wanting to make a fuss, Halfway makes up a story about what happened.

Mick and Linda show their gratitude to Halfway for saving the pub by offering him Shirley’s room to stay in. As Whitney and Halfway spend time together, Whitney realises that something isn’t right and decides to give him some time alone.

Meanwhile, Phil is stunned when he finds out that the car lot now belongs to Max. Sharon decides to teach a patronising customer at The Arches a lesson.

EastEnders, Monday at 8pm on BBC One.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

Daz opens up to Kerry about the past leaving her torn over what to do. Finding Daz with a packed holdball, Bernice demands an explanation. Daz comes up with a cover story but is stopped from leaving by Kerry – but will he decide to tell the truth?

Meanwhile, Vanessa struggles to cover her worry when Tracy plans to meet with DI Bails again and admits she finds him attractive. Charity intercepts and is later pleased as Tracy dashes off embarrassed – but is that the end of it?

Elsewhere, Megan assumes the worst when she overhears Frank feeding Rishi lines to say to his date; Noah is keen to hang out with his big brother.

Emmerdale, Monday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

Esther prepares to leave Hollyoaks and head to Spain with Ruby to help run her bar. But things are still frosty with Jack. The Osborne’s discover Esther’s plan but will they be able to help Jack and Esther make amends before she leaves?

Meanwhile, DS Roxy confronts Adam about his no show at the robbery the night before, but Adam has taken a taste of the dark side. DS Roxy later arrests Adam when he flips out and punches Darren. However, they end up having sex in her police car but it’s all a set up by Adam.

Elsewhere, Lily tells Prince that she doesn’t want a baby with him; Alfie freaks out as he continues to hear voices.

Hollyoaks, Monday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.


Doctors Pick of the Plots logo

It’s pitch day at The Mill and the staff are in preparation mode. Mrs Tembe and Zara discuss which Dragon they would be. Soon, the Doctors and Valerie pitch their ideas using assorted props, but Al comes armed with nothing but his ability to orate.

As the dragons debate who should win, they are interrupted by Ayesha who wants to pitch. Later, they all gather as Mrs Tembe announces the winner…. Ayesha! Ayesha is overjoyed, while everyone tries to look pleased for her.

Elsewhere, Mandy finds a photo of Emma and Jimmi and, after getting bad news from the bank, takes advantage of her car being pranged. Later, we see Mandy rip Emma’s out of the picture she found.  

Doctors, Monday at 1.45pm on BBC One.
