Pick of the Plots: Monday October 15th

The latest goings on in Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.

SoapWeek: Corrie

Peter is unimpressed to discover Nick is back, David is angry that his brother didn’t show his face in his hour of need, and Toyah isn’t happy when she finds him talking to Leanne, telling him off for leaving Leanne in the lurch when she needed him. Someone who is pleased to see Nick back is Gail, however she still berates him for neglecting his family, something David won’t forget in a hurry. 

Meanwhile, the police question Ali about being present at the death of Cormac and the crash involving Ronan. They bring up the firearm found in Ronan’s car but Ali denies all knowledge.

Elsewhere, Liz puts on a brave face at the Rovers; Vicky takes pleasure in winding up the factory girls and Peter knows he can’t fire her for Simon’s sake.

Coronation Street, Monday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: EastEnders

As Hayley struggles with the pressure of becoming a mum and questions about the father, Jean is on hand with reassurance. Armed with Jean’s list of things to buy for the baby, Hayley becomes overwhelmed but luckily Mariam comes to her rescue.

Meanwhile, Ruby arrives at the Slater’s and shows Stacey nasty comments she’s received online. Stacey is livid and has a go at Martin, convinced his friends are behind it. Later, Stacey persuades Ruby to go to the police station but when Martin reveals he has some new information form that night, Stacey asks Ruby to talk her through exactly what happened.

Elsewhere, Sharon and Keanu continue their affair but Sharon is rattled when she receives a text message from someone who claims to know what they are up to. Sharon realises the mystery texter is telling the truth when they send her an audio file of her and Keanu together.

Also, Dot returns from Ireland and confides in Sonia that she’s been having some funny turns.

EastEnders, Monday at 8pm on BBC One.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

Sarah looks aghast when she finds out Debbie is in custody and panics when the transplant coordinator tells her that they have found her a new heart. Soon, Debbie arrives at the hospital with a prison chaperone and comforts Sarah as she is wheeled out for the operation, Debbie breaks down, fearing she will never see her daughter again.

In her search for Adam, Victoria breaks into the haulage office and starts rifling through the drawers. Meanwhile, Robert and Aaron arrive back from their honeymoon.

Elsewhere, Chas struggles with planning Grace’s funeral.

Emmerdale, Monday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

Glenn is out of hospital, and Grace finally puts her plan in to action to steal an ATM van full of money, and manipulate Jay into killing Glenn. Jay gets suspicious when he finds Roxy and Grace talking, and confronts Grace about it. Jay agrees to kill Glenn but something goes badly wrong.

Convinced that Farah is cheating on her, Kim looks through her phone and finds messages between Farrah and Grace, which she takes as proof.

Elsewhere, Goldie is keen to rekindle things with Jesse but she soon realises he is pining for Courtney and offers him some advice. Later, both feeling lonely, Goldie and Joel share a kiss.

Hollyoaks, Monday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.

Sid is excited about taking Keziah – a woman he recently met at a supermarket – out for dinner. Ayesha suggests that he manage his expectations but Sid playfully tells her she’s the last person he’s going to take advice from after what happened with Leo. Sid heads off to the Icon where he and Keziah relax and get on well. When Keziah mentions she is happily single and not looking for a serious relationship, Sid is unperturbed.

Later, Sid tells Keziah how much he likes her and suggests she come to a weekend music festival with him soon. Keziah is horrified. Is he suggesting they go for a dirty weekend? That isn’t what he meant at all. But can he convince her it was just an innocent suggestion?

Elsewhere, Zara and Daniel are trying to help Joe write his three policies for the school council election. But it isn’t long before, true to fashion, they start getting competitive.

Doctors, Monday at 1.45pm on BBC One.
