Pick of the Plots: Friday November 23rd

The latest goings on in Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.

SoapWeek: Corrie

Sally is surprised to see that her new cellmate is Abi and explains she needs an adjournment but is struggling to make herself be sick. Abi comes up with a plan. Later, Sally’s family arrive at the court to the news that she has been taken into hospital. Sophie admits her plan to Paula, and Tim and Gina are incredulous at the lengths that Sally has gone to. Later, Gina meets with Duncan to quiz him some more and appears to lap up his pack of lies. Back at home Gina surprises Tim and Sophie by saying she will be a character witness for Sally. What is she up to?

Meanwhile, Brian is exhausted after working all night on the play only to discover that there was no real urgency after all. Fiz and Tyrone complain to Brian that Hope has been excluded for biting a teacher but Brian doesn’t think he can help. Cathy urges Brian to stand up to Phil. Brian gets Phil to agree to review his decision about Hope but things don’t quite go as planned – Phil wants to send Hope to a pupil referral unit.

Elsewhere, Gemma apologises to Chesney and asks him out for lunch; Emma asks Gemma if she has feelings for Chesney; Mary is worried about Jude and calls the police, but Angie doesn’t share her concerns.

Coronation Street, Friday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV, UTV and STV.


SoapWeek: EastEnders

Phil’s back and Sharon, Keanu, Keegan and Louise all desperately try to cover their tracks.

Ian leaves the choir but after some encouragement from Jean, he returns. Honey tells Billy she might invite Adam into the choir, so Billy decides to join too.

Elsewhere, Stuart charms Dot into giving him the lowdown on Kat.

EastEnders, Friday at 8pm on BBC One.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

Pete is annoyed Rhona is helping their intruder and warns her to stop being so naïve but Rhona dismisses his concerns.

Perturbed by Franks attitude an idea sparks in Clive’s head as he taps away on his laptop. What is he up to and why?  

Elsewhere, Marlon tries to talk things through with Paddy.

SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

Simone helps Leela who is struggling ahead of Tegan’s funeral. Louis accuses Simone of trying to ruin his and Leela’s relationship, leading to a furious row and then a kiss.

Romeo is chirpy after sleeping with Lily, but she’s full of guilt. Meanwhile, Prince is looking for Lily, with a resolve to tell her the truth. Misbah finds an upset Lily and advises her to show Prince that she loves him, so she buys him a van for his window cleaning business.

Elsewhere, James makes a breakthrough with Romeo but Mac spoils it; Misbah worries about Ste’s accusations; and Yazz records Imran confessing that he is abusing their mum.

Hollyoaks, Friday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.

It’s an exceptionally busy day at the Mill and the staff are feeling the pressure of being short staffed. They are doing their best to maintain their usual standard but Mrs Tembe’s unexpected return and ‘back to business’ mood causes more stress for Karen and Valerie. Later, Mrs Tembe dishes out some home truths to a patient’s husband who is venting his frustration about the Mill.

Al and Jimmi try to lighten the atmosphere with a game of ‘What Would Heston Do?’ but this is short lived when they also find themselves on the receiving end of Mrs Tembe’s mood. As things come to a head it is decided that someone needs to talk to Mrs Tembe but who will draw the short straw?

Elsewhere, Zara still isn’t feeling Izzie and Daniel issues her with an ultimatum.

Doctors, Friday at 1.45pm on BBC One.
