SoapWeek: Corrie

Simon is furious that Peter is taking Abi sailing, causing Peter to say that he can come instead and is dismissive of Abi, unaware that her son Seb is listening to their every word. A furious Abi lashes out at Peter for his treatment of her and heads off to get drunk, Peter tries to reason with her that alcohol isn’t the answer but she gives him short shrift.

Meanwhile, Simon shows Aadi and Asha round the boat using a hurricane lamp which the twins later extinguish before going home leaving Simon on the boat alone. In the darkness someone knocks over the lamp and the smouldering wick ignites. A crowd soon gathers round the burning vessel as Aadi and Asha tell Peter that Simon is still on board. Later, a furious Peter goes in search of Abi certain she started the fire as a drunken act of revenge.

Elsewhere, Shona gets a call to say Clayton has been beaten up in prison and rushes to the hospital. An angry David loses it in the barber shop and demands Nick tell him what is going on. When Clayton tells her that he wishes she’d died rather than his Dad, Shona’s crushed. Having forced the information from Nick, David confronts Shona wanting to know why Clayton was beaten up. Shona plays it down and keeps schtum about the drugs.

Also today, Chesney is pissed off with Gemma after she swears in front of Joseph; Carla is concerned for Roy’s welfare; and Tyrone’s horrified to find a valentines day card on the mat after Kevin teases him about Mary fancying him.

SoapWeek: Emmerdale

A cash-strapped Laurel wants to rent the pirate ship out as overnight accomodation and railroads Doug into helping do it up, despite him having plans to take Brenda out for dinner.

Meanwhile, Moira encourages Cain to get Kyle back off Kerry.

SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

Cleo rushes in having heard the gun shot and sees Mercedes cradling a wounded Sylver. Mercedes orders her to ring an ambulance, but Sylver tells her not to, as he’s worried that Liam will pin it on Mercedes.

Cleo rings Mitchell instead and he reluctantly comes to their assistance. Mercedes tells Goldie that Liam only had a gun to protect himself from the robber, and a furious Goldie confronts Joel, and threatens to tell everyone Michael’s real identity.

Meanwhile, Mitchell asks Cleo out on a date and Mercedes, wanting to prove her love for Sylver, proposes to him. Liam tells Grace that Sylver has been shot and that he needs to get rid of the gun. Grace tries to talk some sense in to him, but he still blames her for Eva’s death.

Elsewhere, Sinead doesn’t want to tell Laurie her real secret so shares her suspicions that he’s sleeping with Sienna. Laurie tells Sienna who invites them over for pizza, but Sienna is left feeling uncomfortable during a game of dares.

Hollyoaks, Wednesday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.

It’s Mrs Tembe’s last day, Jimmi meets her in the car park as she takes it all in. Becky is in her office, ready to move in. Mrs Tembe can’t resist imparting some final pearls of wisdom to her soon-to-be ex colleagues.

At a gathering in the Staff Room, with everyone but Emma who is on an FME shift, a selection of photographs from Mrs Tembe’s time at The Mill is shown. Gordon arrives to add to the sense of occasion. Zara welcomes Becky, and Daniel gives a farewell speech for Mrs Tembe, concluding with the fact that she will be a hell of a vicar.

Meanwhile, Joe is suspended from school for punching another child and Zara is forced to bring him to The Mill.

Doctors, Wednesday at 1.45pm on BBC One.
