Stacey fears the worst when Kat tells her the truth about Jean and she rushes across to The Vic to see her mum. As Shirley overhears the commotion, Stacey insists Jean goes for the tests straight away but it all becomes too much for Jean. With Stacey wanting an appointment for Jean straight away, Kat has an idea.
Honey is concerned when she spots Jean sitting alone and alerts Stacey. Shirley asks Jean why she didn’t tell her, Jean’s snappy response leaves Shirley feeling frustrated. Later, after overhearing Kat and Stacey talking about her, Jean secretly packs a bag and heads for the station.
Meanwhile, Rainie spots Stuart in The Vic with Dot and taunts him about his admissions in the NA meeting. When he realises she was at the meeting and heard everything, he opens up about what’s going and begs her not to tell Dot.
Also today, Jay tries to talk to a troubled Ruby but ends up upsetting her; Mitch turns to Patrick for help when Bailey needs money for her school trip.

It’s Jacob’s 16th birthday, Maya suggests meeting in the summerhouse for her ‘present’. In preparation for his night with Maya, Jacob adds romantic touches to the summerhouse, but is surprised when Liv arrives.
Jacob is forced to think fast and he tells her it’s all for her. To Jacob’s horror, Liv contemplates having sex with him. Meanwhile, outside the summerhouse, angry Maya has seen everything …
Meanwhile, Robert’s gutted to miss out on a haulage contract, which could have funded his and Aaron’s surrogacy plans. Chas encourages Aaron not to give up on the surrogacy.

Breda refuses to carry out Mac’s murderous request and breaks into Mac’s house to do him in instead, however Mac catches her in the act and warns her against it.
Mercedes tells Sylver that Harriet is scared of Breda. Sylver confronts Breda, who tells him that Harriet is a psychopath who killed his father. Sylver makes Breda promise not to lie to him again. Later, Breda tells Mac that she’ll kill James, for her family’s sake…
Elsewhere, Mandy and Darren return, but they won’t know if the surgery has been successful until the birth. Diane is desperate to help Lily, but seems to make matters worse.

In a flashback to 2007, Valerie is working as a temp at the PCT, and isn’t exactly ‘fitting in’. Emma comes in for a job interview and Valerie tries to befriend her to no avail. Things take a turn for the better, however, when she becomes acquainted with Grant Hill. Having taken a shine to him, she starts buying him little gifts but is disappointed to learn that he is married. One afternoon, Charlotte calls into the surgery and Valerie takes note of the tension between them. Valerie gets the idea into her head that Grant isn’t unobtainable and pens a letter to him expressing her feelings.
Over lunch Grant tries to let Valerie down gently but she is adamant they should be together. Grant is horrified when Valerie tries to kiss him and pushes her away. Undeterred, Valerie hints to Emma that she might have something going on with someone they both work with.
Later a calmer Grant tries to talk to Valerie again but once again she only hears what she wants to hear. Grant loses his temper, branding her a lonely delusional psycho, and threatens to call the police. Reeling from his harsh words, Valerie starts to write another letter…
