Pick of the Plots: Monday April 29th

The latest goings on in River City, Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.

SoapWeek: River City

Caitlin’s relationship with Joe is tested to breaking point. Meanwhile, Kim is worried when small mistakes escalate, and Lou and Amber are anxious about telling Charlotte they are in a relationship.

River City, Monday at 11pm on BBC Scotland, repeated Tuesday at 8pm on BBC One Scotland.


SoapWeek: Corrie

As Toyah strips the beds, she’s shocked to find Wayne’s missing H&S report stashed under Nick and Leanne’s mattress. Toyah shows Leanne the report and vows to hand it over to the police. Leanne begs Toyah to wait. Later, Nick returns home to find Toyah and Leanne in the middle of a row. Toyah hands him the report but he insists it must have been planted there and takes it to the police himself. Will they believe him?

Leanne tells Nick that she is worried Simon has too much on trying to look after Peter and wants him to live with them. Nick agrees but notes that it would entail Toyah and Imran moving on. Meanwhile, Ken is worried about Peter and takes him to the doctor.

Elsewhere, Sally is determined to keep Tim in tip-top health, but he sneaks some chocolate when her back is turned; Jan buys Mary some flowers to say sorry for her injury, Mary begins to thaw towards him. There is confusion in the Rovers over which lady is the object of Jan’s affections, is it Moria, Mary or Eileen?

Coronation Street, Monday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: EastEnders

As Sean arrives back in Albert Square after ten years away, past feuds resurface when Jack learns Sean was behind Amy’s disappearance. However, as tensions rise between the pair, Jack realises Sean is unaware that Roxy has died and takes him to her grave to break the news.

After explaining what happened, Jack doesn’t hold back, blaming Roxy for what hapepned. Hearing Jack bad mouth his ex-wife is a trigger for Sean and the two men come to blows.  As the pair calm down, Sean admits he’s returned to make amends. Back on the Square, Jack reveals to a stunned Stacey that Sean is back…

Meanwhile, after overhearing Adam’s plan to move in with Honey, Lola rushes to tell Billy whose reaction surprises her. At work, Lola struggles with Ruby’s demands and gets increasingly jealous of Ruby and Jay’s relationship. Once alone in Ruby’s flat, Lola hatches a plan to get back at Ruby and to help Billy.

Elsewhere, Keegan tries to cheer up Bailey with a kick about at the park where Bernadette meets and takes a shine to the sister of one of Bailey’s friends. 

EastEnders, Monday at 8pm on BBC One.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

Rhona tells a delighted Kim that her son Jamie is coming to the vets for an interview tomorrow. Rhona tries to assure a furious Paddy and Vanessa that Jamie could be an asset to the team, and persuades them to give him a chance.

Meanwhile, Faith feels neglected by Pollard.

Elsewhere, Leyla spins another lie to David.

Emmerdale, Monday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

Liam tells Prince that the only way to get over grief is to reinvent himself before showing him his gun. Diane hands Prince love letters between him and Lily. Prince looks through the letters and realises that some are from Romeo, and he is heartbroken that Lily would keep them all. Later, Liam discovers the gun is missing…

Meanwhile, Diane is panicked trying to get sorted for Lily’s funeral tomorrow. She runs in to price slice after losing her list of things to do, and ends up breaking down crying in front of Martine and Walter.

Elsewhere, Jonny encourages Ste to make another meme. However, whilst Ste is doing so, he accidentally deletes the pictures of Lily saved on Peri’s laptop causing an argument.

Hollyoaks, Monday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.

Ayesha tries to talk to Daniel about the Nurse Prescriber’s course and fails – he doesn’t think there’s anything wrong with the system they have in place, nurses don’t have the authority to prescribe and shouldn’t.

When patients come in to see Ayesha and need prescriptions, she gets them to re book with the doctors, as apparently, she doesn’t have the authority. The patients are unhappy and the doctors are overwhelmed with minor cases. Becky goes back to try and talk Daniel around again but he is still adamant it’s a no.

Meanwhile, Enzo returns to The Mill and sparks continue to fly between he and Becky, so much so that they can’t keep their hands off each other in her office.
