ITV check back in to London’s most lavish hotel…

The hotel staff are on high alert for the imminent arrival of a mystery hotel inspector.

Sean, Guest Experience Manager, puts his team through their paces in anticipation of the hotel inspection and is aghast when he discovers the front desk has been left unmanned.

Upstairs Guest Experience Executive, Michael looks after VVIP guests the Rt Hon Alan Johnson and his wife Carolyn who check into a butler suite with a view of Alan’s old office – The Houses of Parliament.

New housekeeper Kirsten passes her three-month probation and is delighted to be treated to a 5 star all expenses paid stay at the hotel. She and husband, Lee, enjoy champagne and seafood in Gordon Ramsay’s new River Restaurant and a 5-star breakfast in the Thames Foyer.

In the Savoy Grill, Restaurant Director Thierry is determined that every guest receives the same impeccable service no matter who they are, but his service skills are tested by a troublesome £260 bottle of Chateau Neuf de Pape.

MD Franck, receives word that the inspectors have been, will the 132 year old hotel institution retain its Forbes 5 star status?
