Pick of the Plots: Wednesday 17th April

It’s the day of the charity fundraiser. Yolande is feeling stressed and barbed comments from the pastor’s wife Stella don’t help.

Patrick is put out to find Yolande alone with Pastor Clayton at their home, even though they are simply gathering supplies. This leads to a heated argument between Yolande and Patrick, resulting in her telling him not to attend the event.

Later, before the fundraiser, Yolande is alone in the kitchen at the Community Centre when Pastor Clayton comes to find her and sexually assaults her.

After the attack, Yolande seeks solace at the Laundrette where she confides in Elaine.

Meanwhile, Nadine gets frustrated with Jay as he struggles to process the news of her pregnancy. She tries to explain why she didn’t tell him sooner.

Jay confides in Gina who tells him to speak to his family, so Jay gets Callum, Honey and Billy together to tell them the news.

Elsewhere, Peter and Ian bring family and friends together to remember Lucy as the tenth anniversary of her death approaches.

Cindy misremembers things and is reminded how much of Lucy’s life she missed. She slips away to find George at the Boxing Den,

Also, Lauren and Whitney clash over Britney.

Bobby face pales when he is summoned to the police station for further questioning.

Bobby returns home and tells Carla how under pressure, he made out to DS Swain that the intruder in Lauren’s flat was wearing a balaclava and a dark coat with a fur-trimmed hood, and when word reaches Cassie and Evelyn, Cassie recalls seeing such a coat at the charity shop.

Cassie and Evelyn tell Nina that the coat has gone but there were some other clothes that came in with it and one of the jumpers has a name tag.

DS Swain calls at the builder’s yard flat and tells Daniel she’d like him to come with her as there’s been a development in the Lauren Bolton case. Has Bobby unknowingly accused Daniel?

Meanwhile, Alya tells Yasmeen that she has decided to accept the job offer from Rich at Fabians. Later, Adam receives an email from his biggest client informing him that they’re transferring their work to Fabian’s. How will Adam react to Alya poaching their business?

Elsewhere, Kirk helps Sean and Dylan move their stuff out of No.11. Mary hands Sean a house-warming gift in the shape of a candle.

Also, Joel opens up to Dee-Dee and reveals that Emily has been in touch and she would like him to meet Maeve, his daughter.

The wedding party excitedly gets ready for the big day, but they’re brought back down to earth when Kerry finally reveals she can’t actually afford to pay for it.

After taking a mystery call, Leyla announces the wedding is back on. Matty and the guests stand as Amy sets off down the aisle.

Meanwhile, Tom prepares for his trip. Belle expresses her worry at being left alone but we know she isn’t as the puppy cam is revealing her every move.
