EastEnders star Samantha Womack has extended her contract with the soap.
The actress reprised her role as Ronnie Mitchell earlier this year in a storyline that saw Ronnie return to Walford following her release from prison.
The character served two years in prison for abducting Kat (Jessie Wallace) and Alfie Moon’s (Shane Richie) son Tommy.
Womack initially returned on a six month contract but has now signed a new deal which will see her stick around for longer, according to Digital Spy.
The new deal will keep Ronnie in Albert Square for at least another year and the show’s new boss Dominic Treadwell-Collins reportedly has big plans for the character.
Womack previously told Digital Spy that she would consider sticking around for longer depending on how her return was received.
EastEnders, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday on BBC One.
