EastEnders‘ Sharon Rickman will be left fighting for her life after she is attacked in her new bar.
In scenes to be screened next month, Sharon – played by Letitia Dean – is set upon by a mystery assailant as she closes up her new bar for the night.
The Sun notes that the character will be hit over the head before being left for dead.
Sharon will be rushed to hospital after being found unconscious by barman Johnny Carter (Sam Strike). Her partner Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) will maintain a vigil by her bedside as medics battle to save her life.
“Sharon is attacked while she locks up. She puts up a fight but her assailant fells her and she’s left fighting for her life. It all happens very quickly and she has no idea who her attacker is or why it happens. It will be touch and go as the surgeons battle to save her. There are loads of twists and turns to come but boyfriend Phil is at Sharon’s bedside praying she pulls through.” – EastEnders source
Sharon’s attack comes in the wake of Lucy Beale’s murder but it remains to be seen whether there’s a link.
