Strictly adds four new faces to 2021 pro line-up

Strictly Come Dancing has announced four new professional dancers for the 2021 series.

The additions to the pro line-up hail from all across the globe: South Africa, Ukraine, Poland and the United Kingdom.

They are: World Junior Latin American Champion 2010 and former Dancing With The Stars Ireland pro, Kai Widdrington; six-time Latin and Ballroom National Champion in Italy and former Let’s Dance Germany professional, Nikita Kuzmin; reigning South African Latin Champion, Cameron Lombard and Polish Open Latin Champion 2014 and winner of BBC One’s The Greatest Dancer 2020, Jowita Przystal.

The foursome join the previously announced professional dancer line-up for 2021 of Aljaž Škorjanec, Amy Dowden, Dianne Buswell, Giovanni Pernice, Gorka Marquez, Graziano Di Prima, Johannes Radebe, Karen Hauer, Katya Jones, Luba Mushtuk, Nadiya Bychkova, Nancy Xu, Neil Jones, and Oti Mabuse.

Widdrington said that he is realising a childhood dream by taking part in Strictly, noting that it is the “biggest accomplishment” of his career to date.

Kuzmin said that this is his chance to “make some magic on the most famous dance floor”, while Lombard described his participation as a “life changing opportunity”.

Przystal noted that she is “beyond excited” to be joining the Strictly Come Dancing family, adding that she “can’t wait to give all of my heart and soul on that dance floor!”.

The nineteenth series of Strictly Come Dancing will air this autumn on BBC One.
